If Erik Spoelstra was our hc I'm almost sure we would be a better team than we are now. Miami has a very good player development system. Spoelstra not only put his team in a position to succeed but he knows how to get the best out of whoever he puts on that floor.

No one foresaw Zo being out over 2 years. That injury derailed everything. He almost had no choice but to see what happened after that. For that roster, Zo was irreplaceable. Who was available at the time to fill the role he provided? Just a very unfortunate set of circumstances that threw a monkey wrench into what appeared to be a very good roster that AK assembled. It's easy, in hindsight, to look back and say he should have done something sooner. I have faith he'll do what needs to be done to get the next roster set up for success. Go Bulls!

It wasn’t hindsight. The team wasn’t beating quality opponents during that run and gained their reputation off the backs of regularly beating lottery teams. We need to stop pretending we were contenders just because we were the 1 seed for a few weeks ago

Still, that was a long time ago. If 1 person affects your roster that much, it wasn't built right to begin with. This team is a bunch of role players. Period. Vuc gotta go. He's just not athletic enough to play center for us. Bad shooting, bad rim protector and can't catch lobs. Coby is cool but he is more of a 2nd or 3rd option...not 1st.

They were able make a good roster but got derailed by injuries. Took them too long to accept that, but hopefully this time they actually do something. It’s gonna be hard, as you pointed out, but at least they’ve accepted defeat and hopefully are now moving to the right direction.

I think that it was right to give this team 1 more season and now it is right to make changes.

Yeah his play calling sucks. Its almost like he lets them freestyle out there while he sits and chews bubblegum all game. Thibbs would be standing and yelling plays. That's a main reason for the poor performance. Simple pick and rolls and iso DeMar...that's the bulls playbook. Predictable by all 29 teams.

The General Manager needs to stop believing in the Coach continuity schemes and take the team back and get control over the problems the team having

I agree, this did seem different because let’s be honest the Bulls are stuck right now. We aren’t gonna be able to really move anyone so we are probably gonna just run this Same team back

ngl i think AK was right by not having a drastic change this season cuz we might not see the development of our young players like Coby and Ayo is having right now. Now that it's clear that we actually have good young building blocks, let's hope we see the real changes in the next offseason (still gonna be doubtful if we're gonna be great as long as billy is still our coach)

Bro hopefully we can make some needed changes because I’m tired of being 🚮 our season went how it went all year all the way to the play in , lack of consistency! Bad coaching!! We outplayed Atlanta 😊 than a few moments later 😂without jimmy terry and a few others we get blew off the court our season in nutshell

I would say it is clear the Bulls will make changes to the roster but they are not tanking, so I believe they will try and make some trades, but not for picks but maybe another star or depth. I won't try to guess who they might be targeting or get rid off, but whenever everything is set and done, we may see some different faces, but the we won't see a roster spending change, so I doubt we will see a different reality for the Bulls next season. Unless we get really lucky in the draft... Having said this, instead of a big 3, I would prefer only two stars and get a few more solid rotation pieces.

If we got another continuity press conference I was gonna be done with this bulls regime

I honestly think the front office and owner has jus been biding their time to get lonzo and Zack Back to play together because when they played together they were the best in east and I really belive that they thought everyone would come back eventually and play together and be that same team again so they just been maintaining to see that team again except the problem is they can’t keep anyone on court pwill lost another season Zack lost another season Julian Phillips lost end of season Caruso hurt half of year and lonzo hasn’t played since Jan 2021 so that right there shows the mind set of ownership they don’t care about winning and once they spent that money on lonzo vuc demar and Caruso they were gunna stay pat and play out their contracts basically and we see the outcome of those devisions

Obviously the players are to blame, but the biggest reason for our losing percentage and inability to get into the playoffs is because of Billy Donovan. The game against Miami, for the play in, perfectly exemplified his inability to go against elite coaches like Erik Speolstra. There is absolutely no excuse for us to lose against a Miami heat team without butler.

thing is, 2024 is tricky to do big changes, but AKME should but Bulls to a situation where they can do it at 2025 or 2026 summer. Lonzo will be on his final contract year, no point to trade him now if you have to add a pick(s) or player(s) to get it done. DeMar, if the money is right, resign him other wise good luck DeMar.

We need a new owner. Someone who will go into the luxury tax.

I dont think they are going to do anything. Why trade Levine???? This team needs scorers. Maybe the problem was not him maybe the problem is Coby was not a point guard yet and Ayo had not played will and PWill inconsistent. Demarr needs to come back provides leadership on the team. One thing that needs to happen they need to give Sanogo some playing time, Phillips more time, Terry more etc etc........next year can they do better. Possible but wait and see.

We could have traded Lavine to the Pistons to unload his contract. Complete missed opportunity.
