@@SirAustin Armys got really emotional with Amygdala knowing Yoongi bared himself in that song. Also a lot of us who went through or who are currently going through the same ordeal have been touched by it. But yeah same, I can't watch it again. It's brilliant though how Yoongi created the songs in his final part of his Agust D trilogy. It's like he showed some of the things that caused bim big time pain and anxiety in the past, including all the hate he and the other members endured through the years. And in Snooze and his own version of Life Goes On, he shows how he's healing and moving on from the past. In Amygdala specifically, he's trying to face his past traumas up front.

Yes, haegeum is about that which is forbidden and smoking is forbidden in K-pop so... Yeah. Funny thing is that it's so damn sexy. I'm a smoker so I loved it, and ARMY all over the world loved him lighting and puffing on the cigarette as well. He's so brilliant. Love your reactions Austin! 💜

Watching the trilogy with Amygdala last means you see two different fictionalized stories, and then end with the reality that's under them. It's like he's showing us the key to them. I'm pretty sure I understand the arc of Agust D as he's portrayed it, but I won't dump it all here. 😂 I also love that Yoongi did this. He told Jimin that working on the song was really hard because he had to reopen it all. I'm so proud of him.

Hey, bestie!! Thank you so much for your reaction, I was waiting for it, so glad you could do it for yourself and for us! Love, love, love your reactions, Austin! Borahae! Sio, because I'm a menace, here's a lot about Haegum and AMYGDALA!! Agust D is literally talking about everything that is wrong in the world right now. Since haegeum is a traditional instrument but also means liberation of prohibition. He is really asking who's on board for the revolution, for the new world, for the new kingdom and to get on board now. So we can fix everything that is broken. This is a masterpiece. The lyrics and wordplay are incredible. This is what rap in my humble opinion should be. A way of making people aware of all the social, economical issues and more. And Suga just did that. To add further layers to this, it’s really pointed commentary on capitalism or essentially: feudalism. What became his weapon in the beginning (his tool to criticise & stand up) became a utensil. In the end he has to partake in this because of obligation. literally; to feed himself. A Thailand ARMY (shout out to Sky_hxneul) was kind enough to educate us and explain that this was filmed in Thailand and that place is called the "Thief Market" Rattanakosin Island's (Old name of Thailand from 1782-1892) and it was the first international shoping center in the period after the abolition of slavery.. This is how he explained it : so this market came to exist because the people in the palace freed from slavery when they moved out of the palace, they received some goods from the master and also stole some They then brought those goods to sell them in this area. Now we know that Haegeum is a traditional instrument but also means the liberation of the prohibition. SUGA: "Haegeum can refer to the traditional instrument but Haegeum as a lift on a ban. In the past, when I was young and I played things like rhythm games, there were songs called "unlocked songs" if you beat a stage, you get the unlocked songs. Idols... Honestly, despite not committing crimes even a little thing becomes this big or doing something that could be considered a controversy, it becomes "Are they allowed to be like that?" I didn't really understand it even when I was young. But of course, that didn't mean I went around causing trouble. So, in the music video, there are smoking scenes and things like that. If this becomes a controversy when l'm 31 then really, as a social phenomenon, it makes me strongly wonder how I'm supposed to accept this. Like, let's unlock those banned things. And since people can see so much information within the palm of their hand, imagining or thinking. Even I started not doing them. So, regarding those things, let's get liberated. With advanced technology, we're able to get all kinds of information and see the situations happening on the other side of the planet while sitting. But I strongly felt those things kind of prohibiting my life actually. I can live without walking on eggshells as much. You have to live doing the things you want." "Scar dude”, is Agust D. He always has a scar. Representing his own scars. His alter ego, Agust D. He's always portrayed as a villain, a person in power, but nevertheless a villain. He's Suga's opposite side who holds lots of anger, fear, sadness, resentment, vengefulness his darker emotions. Previously in Daechwita, BOTH Suga AND Agust D had scars. He was in a different state of mind, he said he had lots of anger, but here only Agust D has a scar, it's not as red, meaning he's healing, but Suga has none. He's trying to get rid of that side of himself here. And Suga is Suga, himself. It's always been Suga VS Agust D. But he said in IU's “Palette” that he's changed a lot and has learned to forgive and be a happier person, so Agust D can go to rest now. That side of Suga, Agust D, is gone....for now. He says he's not sure when he'll come back....IF he ever comes back, however he said if those strong emotions return, then so will Agust D. It's kind of bittersweet. He said somewhere in the physical album that from this point on, we can expect to see "SUGA"'s debut....not Agust D, but SUGA in his next album. My opinion on the story between the two, and this is just my theory, relates to how much of the Haegeum MV was inspired by the film The Dark Knight. There's a quote in the movie that says, "You either die a hero, or live love enough to see yourself become the villain." In Daechwita, King Agust D is a tyrant and "lower class" Agust D is the hero, with each having the scar showing that they're one and the same. Lower class Agust D becomes the hero by shooting the king, taking his place. In Haegeum, only Cop Agust D has the scar. He is the same Agust D that shot the king, going on to become everything that he used to fight against, effectively living long enough to become the villain. He fought the king to take down the system, but them became the head of that very same system, enforcing the laws of that system that he swore to fight against. I think that the lyrics relate well to this idea also, being a slave to all of the things that you think are setting you free. "Differentiate freedom from self indulgence”. I think that is interesting that the original Agust D became the Mad King and the D-2 Agust D became a corrupt cop it very much reads as a critique on corruption by money and power. Especially as both die at the end. I think I got a little repetitive there, but I hope you got what I meant! So, in order: First Agust D, blonde and scarred, killed by Second Agust D, black hair scarred: killed by Final Agust D is actually Suga. The first Agust D was created in the past, as seen in AMYGDALA. Now, the amygdala is the part of the brain (limbic system) that brings about a flight or fight response. The amygdala releases stress hormones that prepare the body to fight the threat or flee from the danger. Common emotions that trigger this response include fear, anger, anxiety, and aggression. It's all true. Everything. It all happened to him. If you think about the lyrics of "The Last", he mentioned already his depression, the suicidal thoughts (the part beeped in the song, the question the doctor asked him back then). The accident when he was a delivery boy pre-debut (he was a trainee) that destroyed his shoulder. We sort of knew about his mum's heart surgery that happened when he was born. We knew nothing about his dad's cancer until he mentioned it in the song. The scar he inflicts to himself connects to Daechwita and Haegeum, it's how his angry personality was born. It might also be seen as him trying not to "see" these memories over and over again. The room is the amygdala, the part of our brain that stores unpleasant memories to make us feel the "danger" when something happens. His younger self coming back and trying to open the door...he tried ro save himself, but there's no escape from the memories. And yet, thinking about Haegeum, he managed to kill his scarred self, symbolising that even if he will never forget, at least he's at peace. He also mentioned to Namjoon in R-Chwita episode yesterday that those dark thoughts cyclically return. It's...a lot. A lot. Sending hugs.

Your interpretation is pretty close to mine. I’d like to add a few observations. For both Daechwita and Haegeum the rebel agust d and Suga was backed up by 6 guys. I think these represent the other 6 members of BTS. I believe he is recognizing that he is supported by his brothers when he tries to confront his inner demons. In Haegeum he comes in and invades agust d’s hide out that has all these guards. This can represent his psyche and the defence mechanisms he has been using to protect the agust d persona. In trying to understand the sources of our trauma or the resulting mental issues...you need to really look into how this persona helps you and you have to break down your own defences so that you can get into the root of the trauma. This can be done through therapy. But it’s not easy because we usually do not want to change so at times this process can be painful...so we see the violent invasion of Suga and his gang to get to agust d. The main goal of stealing the money is to lure agust d into a confrontation with Suga...Suga even stole tangerines and had the police chase him to lead them to his hide out. Only by being truly up close can he have a chance to get rid of Agust d. So even if he had a more general message of freedom from restrictions that is placed on us by money and greed, etc...I believe this Haegeum is also his freedom from the agust d persona that embodies the scars of his trauma. But of course in the end we see Suga return to the same environment where Agust d thrived. Will Suga be able to stay away from the corruption that still surrounds him? Only time will tell. Brilliant work by Yoongi! He is so brave in revealing all this. But I do believe it is the act of putting his feelings into music, into his art that has a therapeutic effect on him! I’m just happy he is in a much better head space in the present!

Amygdala is an absolute stunning masterpiece. God, I love Yoongi so much. I'm so happy that he's feeling at peace now. I just wanted to add that the stuff in this video happened to him before he was 20...before debut. You can imagine how that has shaped his last 10 years...It must have colored everything in his world. And not being able/not being willing to be open about it made it all the more traumatic. So honored that he trusted us with this. Also - the strength in him to perform this live on stage on tour!!!!!

Something it feels like ppl pick up on but don’t pick up on… is that the king here is pre BTS yoongi… ready attack anyone for the smallest things against him (verbally or musically of course) family didn’t support him, came to Seoul on his own, got ripped off… could barely eat… it was him against the world and he had built walls up… the king is all alone…. But street yoongi is his life with BTS here. Like all the scenes where he’s walking, heading to get the car keys , on the car, confronting the king… he’s surrounded by those 6 guys… he’s achieved so much, he’s on top of the world… and this yoongi steps up to take on his past self… the one that couldn’t let ppl even be a part of his glory bc of what he’s been through alone , all the walls…. And just when it seems like he was abandoned and fighting alone bc they left him to be executed….. the truth is revealed at the end.. the guy who gives him the gun is one of the guys he was “saying hi” to as he walked through the street in the beginning of the song. The black robed ppl are army… so he was never left alone in the first place even though we thought he was… killing the king is taking pride in the man he is today… well at the time of the mv anyway.

The Amygdala video is a lot. It's incredibly beautiful, honest and raw. I also found their presentation of self-harm as tasteful... This kind of thing isn't triggering for me because it doesn't sit in that place or glorify it, and because it's an honest portrayal. I would say that it was hard to watch (and still is) but not harmful. Some parts of life hurt and he's letting us into his, and if you check out people's reactions, a whole lot of us are seeing ourselves in this video. It's been kind of beautiful to see in comment threads, lots of folks connecting. I know I feel seen and understood. And it matters to me that in the video he's fighting like hell the whole time. The first time I watched it I cried for him and a little bit for my past self. I'm so glad we didn't give up. 💜 Thank you for taking your time with all of this and letting us come along 💜

About the order, literally speaking well yes amygdala is what happens first “in the story”. But the “storyline” itself, the way suga set it up is a little mixed up in a way. What I mean is it’s like when watching a series, a bunch of events happen, as you constantly wonder about certain things and where it all connects, until you finally get a flashback episode that explains everything and puts all the remaining pieces in place if you know what I mean

My interpretation….Yoongi’s Agust D MVs are all one long story. I live for it. In Agust D we see how he is full of ego and clapping back at all the previous haters that tried to hold him down. That his endless work is what brings him to the top. Give It To Me is a direct continuation, where he says his fame surprised even himself and his family. That he was born a tiger and won’t live like a dog. He is blonde in both these videos, which then continues into Daechwita when he has ascended his throne. He even relates the lyrics directly back to his first two MVs by saying “born a slave but now a king, berserk tiger…you calling me a pup, i was born a tiger.” Daechwita he says “who’s the King, who’s the boss?” as we see Yoongi atop his throne fully having earned everything from working hard. But we know that “absolute power corrupts absolutely” and we see in the visuals that the King Yoongi has gone mad with power, killing dessenters. Blonde Yoongi is playing the role of his ambitions, his ego. Black haired Yoongi is playing the role of reality. He says “Here comes my reality check, there’s nowhere higher. I only looked up and now I want to look down and put my feet on the ground.” But the ambitions in Yoongi want him to keep climbing, despite not having any more satisfaction and having more than achieved his dreams. So the realist Yoongi kills his ambitions in order to be content with his current life. In Haegeum, realist Yoongi has become the leader of a police force. The first thing of note is referencing the haegeum itself, repeatedly saying the song is maybe a new haegeum. The haegeum is an instrument with many classifications. It is a wind instrument, a string instrument, an instrument used by royal courts and by ordinary people historically, used as far back as preJoseon dynasty and modified up until the mid 1960s. It is also known mostly for the unique sound it carries. I believe by calling his track a haegeum, Yoongi is saying his message applies to everyone, that it is timeless and cannot be called any one thing or any one classification. You cannot take the track and put it in a box, much like the very complicated Yoongi himself. In Haegeum, I see the new version of Yoongi as a more violent representation of Yoongi, who is a realist but seems to play the ‘chaotic good’ to Daechwita Yoongi’s ‘lawful good’. He says “interpretation is free for all. Freedom of expression could be the cause for someone’s death, could you still consider that freedom?” This line is absolutely magnificent. How many people express an opinion but then are condemned and villified? It could be something as simple as an opinion…or something like an idol stating they are homosexual which they then get backlash and hatred for. Could even lose their careers over what they have expressed, which is a kind of death. Even if the law says they can be that way, society condemns it, so there is really no freedom. The lyrics get even better. “If your convictions are reflected in your judgement and speculations and you believe that your freedom is on the same level as others’ then don’t hesitate, just get on board, liberation from all that is forbidden…this song is simply about freeing what’s forbidden, but remember to differentiate freedom from self-indulgence.” Basically he’s telling us to live genuinely as who we are, to examine ourselves and be true to our own beliefs, that everyone has the right to live as their genuine selves, as long as they aren’t harming others. He actually repeats the line “differentiate freedom from self indulgence” multiple times in the song. Upon thinking about possible meanings, my thought is that Yoongi is reminding us that what we have is taken for granted. Freedom is granted to us, it is not something we are owed. Around the world so many are trapped and have freedom stripped from them, while those of us who were born with it languish in it and are spoiled into arrogance, that the least bit of rules or restrictions make us yell oppression, as if most of us know the meaning of that word. He goes on to say “endless influx of information prohibits freedom of imagination and seeks conformity of thought, all the controversy incessantly triggers confusion in judgement” which is him saying that we are constantly being told by media, by other people online or in person, what we should think. We aren’t taking the time to form our own thoughts and opinions anymore. A single tweet from a person online can lead to a barrage of hate against someone, but no one actually goes to check if that tweet was realistic or true. We just follow the bandwagon, and media does as well. If many citizens write about it, media takes it as truth. We become slaves to each other and restricted. “Slaves to capitalism, slaves to money, slaves to hatred and prejudice, slaves to youtube slaves to flexin, selfishness and greed have gone off the rails”. Social media have caused us to constantly be in each other’s faces. We also can’t get away from products being pushed at us, we have become addicted to other people’s opinions and views. We can’t live without people seeing us. Rather than form genuine, in person connections having conversations with others and go out and spend time reading or in nature, we crave as many likes and views as possible, to make our fake online lives look as interesting as we can. We have become slaves to our internet personas. “Everyone’s been blinded by envy and jealousy, without realizing we are putting shackles on each other.” We see other people’s lives and things they have and we want them ourselves. We become slaves to each other’s uploads and reviews, to updates and opinions. Haegeum Yoongi is the idealist Yoongi. The one who kills the realist, who also happens to be the negative one who sees and perpetuates the negative things the new idealistic Yoongi wants to get rid of, like being a slave to the rat race and media, caring so much about public opinion rather than being his genuine self. In Amygdala, this is very much about Yoongi reliving his memories from before he made it at all, before Agust D even. He is remembering the memories that he wishes he can escape from, the accident he had that he hid for years and was left in pain from until he got surgery in 2020, his mother’s heart surgery, his father’s cancer. We see him expressing his depression outwardly, through taking pills and even going so far as to carve into his own flesh, a marker of his pain that he carries with him that no one can see by simply looking. This scar is not present in the Agust D or Give It To Me MVs. However we see Yoongi with it in his three newer videos. I believe this is signifying that the Yoongi of then was still hiding his pain, still climbing and maintaining his tough exterior. However once he reached the top and only had down to go, he had to come to terms with the pain of his past in order to be whole in his present. In Amygdala we see the scarred Yoongi crawling across the floor to the open door-now shut and locked-as he is pelted with rain. This door to me signifies Yoongi’s mental hurdles, his depression, the barrier between the darkness inside himself and the light. This downpour could be signifying of his tears, but it can also be a healing rain that washes away the pain. He says in the lyrics “let’s unpack them one by one…now let’s put them back in one after another”. As he recalls his memories and is effected by them, he is compartmentalizing the emotions they bring him, trying to come to terms and heal, but becoming overwhelmed. The most impactful lyrics are when Yoongi says “Hoped [I] made the best decisions…Because they're also all in the past now. So, is all countless suffering for my own good? What didn’t kill me only made me stronger and I begin to bloom like a lotus flower once again.” Lotus flowers are hugely significant, particularly in Asian culture and in many religions, but here they have specific meaning to Yoongi’s story. Lotus flowers are grown from mud, in conditions most flowers would find harsh or impossible to grow in. Also, lotus flowers are known to open in the morning and close in the evening, giving them a daily “rebirth.” Yoongi is specifically saying that like a lotus who has weathered harsh conditions he will grow and rise to be reborn whenever he may feel defeated. The amygdala is the part of the brain that is in charge of emotions. Yoongi begs for release from his own emotions which he cannot control (as someone with depression I can tell you it is a never ending battle that takes more people than it lets heal). He repeatedly says “first choice…second choice…third choice”. This to me speaks to his endless battle with his darkness in which he tries to find a solution and a way to happiness. A person with depression wakes up presented with choices many don’t comprehend. To get up and fight, or to give in and die. To take a medication or two, or three, or five. To try to find a balance that works for awhile until it stops and you have to find a new combination. The battle doesn’t stop unless we choose to. The rain will either wash his pain away, or drown him. A feeling many of those with depression feel in a daily internal battle. What do you think?

I think, Agust D with the scar on his face in Haegeum is the rebel Agust D in Daechwita. When his scar healed he forgot about the what's his ideal and drown in power+money then came back as police/detective. The Agust D without scar is actually Yoongi himself. There is this loop in the both 3 MVs, he alwas comes back as new one he will always come back too til the last breath of his. Cause he was the one who crate those 2, he will crate more in the feature.

Cont... Hi, i am back. Good reaction(Amygdala), ty. Such a good song. Pls pause as much as u want. I love hearing your thoughts. This is my fav song from his album. My 2nd fav is Snooze. I love all the songs though. But these for some reason made me feel more. When i heard this for the 1st time i smiled. This MV speaks his truth. I am glad Suga talked about it more. I think the more u speak about it the easier it gets as the years pass. I am sorry he went through so much. I am sad he did not reach the door. I think this song is tricky. I think the MV enhanced the song a lot for me. Good visuals. Loved the feels. I am an empath so i take it in. Suga was sharing his trauma, his painful memories right. I was not aware his mom had heart surgery or that his dad battled cancer. I wonder if his bike accident occured in the same year as everything else. We know Suga survived it was a miracle. Yoongi dealt with so much pain for so long. We were all so glad he finally had the shoulder surgery. They are so strong all of them. They are our strength and we theirs. I was finally able to cry for him at last watching Anitra. My therapist said I am not afraid of death. I faced my death already dealing with cancer. So his truth was not that shocking to me. But still I wanted to cry for him because he can't. Borahae. -NY USA 2019 Army 💟 I Purple Jimin 💜said on 4/25/23 People with PTSD have the same issues with their amygdala. Not being able to process emotion and trauma properly. People who suffer with PTSD in multiple forms would understand this mv straight off. Its the whole process of nightmares vs flashbacks. Flashbacks being more of a process for PTSD sufferers. I have Complex PTSD and hypervigilance so i understand this mv with all its little nuances. I respect Yoongi so much that his been able to be so open with these issues. Alix DriftwoodDragons said on 4/25/23 I think the trilogy is about slowly recovering from trauma... the Amygdala MV explains the key to understanding the other two MVs, in that it shows that the scar is a mark of a character that is acting on their trauma - Yoongi has been slowly healing over the years. In Daechwita (D-2), he replaced "blond Agust D" from the first mixtape (he was blond for the MVs he released in 2016), who was a king who ruled out of anger... in Haegeum, a new Yoongi who DOESN'T have a scar, he's healed from his trauma - or at least has learned how to have it not continue to hurt him any more by self-inflicting wounds in response to it - and Haegeum Yoongi replaces D-2 Yoongi whose scar is old but still there, and is ruling in a civil manner but perhaps too caught up in the flexing aspect (the fancy suit, the slick image). I think Haegeum is the end on a note of Yoongi being free, and living the way he wants. Amygdala is needed to explain that key though - what Yoongi had to go through mentally to get to that point. The fact that he's sharing this with us, to me, means that he's reached a healthy place where he feels strong and recovered enough to share the story. Even if he can't put a firm happy ending on it, because you can't do that with mental struggles - in the latest episode of Suchwita, he even tells RM that he gets low every 2-3 years, but has learned how to handle it better as time has passed, and now RM thinks he's the most positive person on the team. Really, Yoongi is absolutely amazing. I love him so much and he deserves all the hugs in the world.

10:46 the guy who gave him the gun was one of the first guys who yoongi kinda said “hi” to walking down the street in the beginning , was in the room when they gave yoongi the keys to the car… so possibly could be his car… and now not only does the king have to deal with being challenged the way that yoongi is… and the ppl in the black robes who have not moved at all earlier with the king… he’s even rapping at one of them while the person is bent down to the ground… he stands on the back of one of them and still nothing… however when the execution scene is happening and the king is looking down at the entire scene happening… all of a sudden they’re all up and bowing just like yoongi… they’re following his lead… and the king doesn’t run from yoongi he stands there and accepts that his kingdom has a new leader… and takes his death in a form that fits how warriors accept defeat and take their death without fighting back. Another thing is while the executioner is preparing … the knife dance he’s doing is the same thing the king is doing all by himself and the king slices down at the same time the executioner does in the same way…. So the king hands down sentences but makes others do the dirty work… but yoongi steps forward and shoots the king himself… he’s not afraid of taking that step himself for the greater good… for those following his lead.

Hihi I am always so happy when you post on you tube Def an inside job lol … the executioner is the butcher in the market scene and they exchange a look And the pattern repeats in haegeum.. the guy in the first location on the phn to the corrupt detective is the guy standing next to yoongi in the gun in oil barrel scene… In Daechwita both king yoongi and bottom Class yoongi have the same scar In haegeum only the detective has the scar but in the very last scene his hair falls over his face in the same location as the scar

The Haegeum MV was filmed in Bangkok. There are more than two Agust-D characters. Daechwita (pronounced deh-chee-ta, the w is silent): 1) King Agust-D with a releatively new scar, Blonde hair 2) Bottom class Agust-D with the same scar but it has aged. Black hair Haegeum: 3) A third Agust-D shows up - with no scar. Black hair, chopsticks skills. 2) Police chief Agust-D. He is NOT new. This is Bottom Class Agust-D from Daechwita. You can tell because his scar is also aged. He rose to power and got corrupted just like the King who he killed. Amygdala: We meet three more versions: 4) Pre-debut Suga is on the scooter. 5) Min Yoongi is on the couch, trapped in his painful memories. We see the origin of the scar (the birth of Agust-D). 6) And finally, The narrator, Min Yoongi/Suga/Agust-D, who is singing and wrapping up the story through the rest of the songs on this album.

i interpreted the MV trilogy the same way. In fact, when Detective Agust D smirked right before he was shot, it gave the idea that he wasn't afraid of dying since he knew the Thief Agust D will eventually become him and the cycle would begin again. Which came true since in the next scene, Thief Agust D ended up owning the police (police car was driving him to the noodle place) and was even carrying Detective Agust D's leather coat. It was also symbolic that in the end, the chopsticks he was going to use to eat was the same one he used to kill someone.

I love the long videos. Always just be yourself and never change because you think people want your reactions to be a different way. If you want to do a short video, do it. If you want to do a long one, do it. As Namjoon would say, do you. I loved your thought process along the way. Nice job! I love all of these songs more than I can put into writing. Yoongi is a masterful, powerful writer, composer, producer, actor etc. I saw someone did a great job commenting on it all, so I will keep this short for once. 😂. (Okay shortish) (For me lol) Even if you take all the words away, and just listen to the music, you understand the message Yoongi is conveying. When you add the words back in, the song goes to another level. When you add the visuals and Min Yoongi, The song sky rockets to the heavens. D-Day is my most favorite album ever. Amygdala is forever in my heart with First Love and The Last. Yoongi touches my heart and soul and I relate to him so much. So much emotion that makes you feel something. It is also healing for those of us with our own scars. It feels like he created D-Day to heal himself and us. I’m forever grateful to this man. I hope the world recognizes the genius that is Min Yoongi. Borahae!

You are right...Amygdala is actually the start...how he got the scars. In the end he tried to help himself...crying for his younger self to free him from the memory...but it’s not that simple...you can’t erase your experience. So Daechwita illustrates how this trauma has affected him but also how he tries to keep himself from being a monster because of it. Haegeum is the conclusion...when he finally eliminates the scarred agust d. I can’t help but think about his accident and how it affected him. I think what was traumatic was not the accident or the pain itself. I think it’s the fact he couldnt talk about it. He kept his accident a secret at first because he was afraid he would be taken out of the trainee program. His fear was about losing his chance to debut! That’s why he endured the pain at first! But in the end, when he couldn’t keep on with his injury and he told the company, they just had him treated. He was doing delivery without telling the agency Cos he was saving for college. In the end the agency gave him the money for college. Btw...two more content you should check out in connection with d-day is sugas appearance in IU’s palette and Rchwita...RMs interviewing Suga in his version of suchwita!

Cont... Hi, i am back. Good reaction(Haegeum), ty. Austin so glad u spotted that there is 6 gang members with Suga. o.0 Suga always has BTS represented in his MVs. He so sweet. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. He looks so hot. Love the souvenir jacket his wearing. I have one too but mine is black and has cranes on it. I love dragons though and my fav color is blue & black. I kind of thought we would not have a song like Daechwita on this album. Well guess i was wrong, huh. 0.0 I was really surprised on 1st watch. I never thought he would connect 3 MVs together. 0.0 That is brilliant. Suga is such a genius. I love it. Suga during the premier said to listen to Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala. So that's what i am going to do. Powerful song. I like that we continue the story from Daechwita. But this song is more violent. Geez. He is such a savage! I liked it. Good rhythm. Suga is a visual. Excited to rewatch the MVs in order like he suggested. Did u spot the Joker reference i missed that. Ur reaction was many of us. He is such a boss! The behind the scenes was my 1st watch. He so hot, dang. He worked so hard. King!Hugs. -NY USA 2019 Army 💟 Borahae ARMY *KEZ* said on 4/21/23 So Haegeum means allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden. His whole album is overflowing with his emotions, and not only does he talk to himself in his album, he talks directly to the listener (especially with one particular song, where it almost feels like he breaks the 'fourth wall'. I've experienced it via a movie before, but never by song, until now) there are ARMY translator accounts on Twitter, so if you want to listen to his album on Spotify or Apple music etc, you can have the lyrics pulled up to help you understand what he is expressing 💜 ScreamCheeese said on 4/21/23 Haegeum also means “to liberate” or “to release” from bans, restraints, or something forbidden. You also really need to see Daechwita!! You’ll understand a lot more of this MV and it’s just as amazing! Just a movie-like. Min Yoongi is a genius for a reason 😩 Plants healing said on 4/21/23 Haegeum has two meanings. The first is a traditional Korean stringed instrument used in this music "this song's a haegeum", and the second, as the lyrics say, "a new kind of haegeum" means "unlock". Yoongi uses both haegeum in his lyrics. Addison McDorman said on 4/22/23 Haegeum: the English lyrics & the meaning. Haegeum is a song about unlocking our new potentials, freeing something previously forbidden. The word “Haegeum” has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that has a very peculiar sound, but this is not the authentic meaning Agust D/Suga intended originally. Haegeum” means “allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden.” Here is how he explained it in an interview: The word “Haegeum” came to me when I was young. I played rhythm games, I loved rhythm action games. When beating a certain stage, you’d unlock a forbidden song, then you could play a new rhythm. It was a “freedom from the forbidden.” Why don’t I try and break free from those things? This is explicitly confirmed by the English translation of the lyrics in Haegeum: This song’s simply about freeing what’s forbidden but you must remember to differentiate freedom from self-indulgence This song’s a haegeum Get on board now This lively rhythm A new kind of haegeum Marissa McWhiter said on 4/22/23 The second meaning of haegeum is the lifting of the ban of something forbidden. Adding what I think the story is based on things I’ve heard from other reactors...commentaries and what he said in the d-day documentary. First of all he did say in his intro of the video during the premiere that this video is the second of a trilogy. He said the three videos meant to be seen together is Daechwita, haegeum and amygdala ...which is coming up! So I believe the king in Daechwita, the first form of august D, was killed by black haired scar face agust D. But then black hair becomes the boss in Haegeum. He seems to be a police detective or officer that is corrupt. He runs his operation from above the Asian noodle restaurant. New Agust d wants to kill him too! Maybe like in Daechwita it’s because of his corruption. So he invades the headquarters and gets his money. On his way out we see a guy making a phone call to the boss...but new agust d gives him a nod. So I think just like in Daechwita new agust d has a deal with this insider to help him kill the boss. So this new guy didn’t really want the money it was just a bait to get him close to the boss. So like in Daechwita, as he was about to be killed he switches the story and kills the Boss instead. Before the boss gets shot we see the boss smirk. I saw a comment that this could be because he knows that this New guy will also meet his fate! So in the end new guy was accepted by the boss’ men and he was delivered to their headquarters the restaurant where he takes over. The final Shot of him eating with the tool he used to kill a man suggests that the violence will sustain him. So now we will wait for amygdala to see how the story ends! So the song itself was explained by Suga in the documentary. He explains that as idols there are a lot of things they seem to be restricted from doing, acts that are normal for some will become controversies for idols. Like if his smoking at the age of 31 will be seen as wrong then he wants this song to be the start of liberating or lifting some of the restrictions put on them. He also talked about the effect on too much information and how easy to get them also starts to restrict thinking. It’s a very deep song! The funny thing is...this song has triggered a bit of hate from kpop on social media! Fans of other groups are thinking Yoongi was targeting them...or even saying he shouldn’t be against capitalism since he is from Hybe! Lol totally missing the point of the song...or maybe just proving Yoongi’s observations! He’s a genius! The rest of the album is genius! I hope you do an album reaction! Mic mic bungee said on 4/22/23 what's amazing is that in the MV, hanja 解禁 was on the screen which = haegeum, in terms of "to lift a ban" not 奚琴 = haegeum the instrument. WHICH MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE because the lyrics talk a lot about judgement, prejudice, and being free from all that. something about it is so raw, and honestly, i feel like it's a big fu to those who try to "cancel" grown idols for doing something normal humans do, like him "smoking" in the MV or just dating, or any issues some fans can't accept. "This song is a haegeum" meaning this song is targeting kpop "fans" who always make a big deal out of things that are not even supposed to be controversial HE'S SO ICONIC FOR THIS. Steve Blevins said on 4/25/23 Please note the split-second image of a hand holding almonds at 13:36. This is a reference to ALMOND: A NOVEL about a guy who has trouble identifying and describing experienced emotions because of a neuropsychological condition (alexithymia). The "almond" refers to the amygdala, an almond-shaped area of the brain. Yoongi was seen reading this book in a preview to IN THE SOOP. The book is on Namjoon's recommended list.

So when suga says it should be watched in order, he means it’s meant to be watched from daechwita (meeting this tyrannical king that appears on the scene that was born from the past agust d. And a thief who’s meant to be the present agust d taking over and overthrowing him. But he too has the scar, that represents the pain and torment and suffering, so he too grows to become just like the king he killed. Corrupt and abusing of his power). To haegeum (meeting another agust d but without the scar. Meaning this isn’t agust d at all just yoongi (( that’s my theory anyway)) or at least someone much different from agust d. This time the cycle ends and he's finally able to put the past in the past by taking out the agust d with the scar that was made in the battle with himself). To finally amygdala (where we learn where all this originated: in his own mind and in his own pain. In his amygdala, trapped in that same trauma with those same memories over and over. The fear and anxiety that took over and created agust d to put all his pain in one place, and to run from actually dealing with it himself...) BUT now we know from yoongi himself that this is all past and by writing amygdala he was able to face these traumas fully and at the very least deal with them in a much better and healthier way than he did in the past. Honestly the whole thing is so beautiful and I love that he was able to grow so much making this album😊☺️💜 (p.s. sorry for the essay💀)
