Bill Hicks was popular in the UK. Leary ripped him off a lot so I guess he got popular there too. It's sad they didn't recognize Billy Connolly twice. Their reaction to Harry Enfield was great. I'm not even British.

Spitting image is awesome. It's where I've learned everything I know about 80s - 90s british politics. The new seasons are great as well.

Woow that Sunny Delight commercial brought back an old argument I had with my mom as a child. She referred to the drink as "Sunny Delight" and I said it was just "SunnyD". She insisted the D stood for "delight", after which I began pointing at the bottle, aggressively gesturing at the packaging that now said "SunnyD" and absolutely insisting that she was wrong. Instead of just saying it used to be called something different, she scolded me for "embarrassing her" (we were alone inside the house). Completely forgot that memory. That's what commercial nostalgia is all about!!

Do more UK 90’s & 00’s ads! As a Brit this is hilarious. Also Milky Way & Snickers are top tier. Wispa Gold is so under-rated too. Yorkshire tea is the best with a drop of milk. (Usually with milk & sugar but milk in last so you can get the right colour.)

The very first commercial is actually an old Canadian commercial for crunchie… it’s chocolate and nougat in the middle. I used to see this commercial when I was a kid in the 90s

If you want a proper British cup of tea, get some Yorkshire Tea (made by Taylors of Harrogate). That's the gold standard, and what pretty much everyone drinks in the UK. Brew for a minute (a little longer for a "Builder's Brew") splash of milk, optional teaspoon of sugar... lovely.
