Comedy Tom Hanks 'Bachelor Party'. "Let's have a bachelor party with chicks and guns and fire trucks and hookers and drugs and booze!" Obscure Eddie Murphy 'The Golden Child'. "I want the knife. Please." Underrated Buddy Cops 'Running Scared'. "Deceleration trauma. Cement poisoning." Fall of the Iron Curtain foreshadowing 'White Nights' 'Blade Runner' wins.

I posted something a week or so ago about the range of reactors you have at the moment and this is a prime example of my meaning. In a podcast about 80's movies you don't have a single GenX reactor, who actually llived through it at an age to really experience these movies. So my question is, what gives? I know we're sometimes refered to as the Forgotten Generation but you used to have quite a few older reactors. Either way, I really enjoyed the discussion and would like to recommend some films that weren't mentioned... Stripes, Ladyhawke, Blade Runner, Amadeus, Full Metal Jacket, The Blues Brothers, The Elephant Man, Repo Man, Brazil and Police Academy.

This may my favorite of their podcast thus far, and I liked pretty much all of them. But this one was right up my alley, and I'm much older than all of them, so I was always in the movie theaters and drive-ins in the 80's. I absolutely loved the 80's...movies, music, vibe, fashion. I loved the last dragon as well, saw it in theaters. I knew all the lines in that movie!! I also loved almost all of Molly Ringwald's movies, like: The breakfast club, 16 candles, Pretty in pink, and more! Also, The Lost boys, Weird Science, ET, Ghostbusters franchise, Beverly Hills cop franchise, St. Elmore's fire, About last night, movies were just better then.

I'm proud to say I've been to a drive-in movie theater! It was one the last times I visited my aunt and uncle when they lived in Bakersfield. I was about 12-years-old at the time. It was a double-feature of Escape from New York and Escape from L.A. We laid down in the back of my uncle's pick-up, and as a result, I eventually fell asleep. It's a fond memory I'll never forget.

Here is a suggestion for a topic... How about, how would you build out a triple feature? Not necessarily sticking with 80's movies, although that would be a difficulty setting. One rule to keep in mind, no trilogies or related movies in the mix. You can't put Beverly Hills Cop 1 and 2 in. For example... If you are doing a triple feature of spoof movies - 1)Airplane, 2) Top Secret (Val Kilmer's first movie) 3) Hot Shots Part Deux. Sword and Sorcery movies - 1) Sword and the Sorceror, 2) Beastmaster 3) Conan the Destroyer 80's Sci Fi - 1) Aliens 2) Terminator 2 3) The Abyss Try it with buddy cop movies, 80's coming of age movies, westerns, war movies, etc.

So fun!!! As a child of the 80s this was great - perfect crew to discuss (Joe gets special recognition) - got to share two of my 80s movies- Rambo First Blood & Purple Rain ; Tom Hanks was 32 when Big was released

I'm a 86 baby. I say The Lost Boys, Gremlins, The Burbs, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Shining, The Goonies, Dirty Dancing, Ghostbusters 1&2, National Lampoon's Vacation and National Lampoon's European Vacation, Die Hard movies, Lethal Weapon movies, .. Oh i watched Return of Oz as a little kid and i see why love horror and paranormal I guess LOL. Oh girl I loved Mannequin as a little girl. I'm not a fan of Bettlejuice. I saw Dances with Wolves, The Last of the mohicans, legends of the falls, river runs through it when i was very little because of my grandma and my great grandpa's girlfriend. I will always love those movies. I have a drive in near me and love taking my kids there. I love taking my kids to the cinema near us too. We have been going almost every weekend this year we loved Abigail- if you love horror, comedy, ... you should see it. I want my kids to one day say I went to a drive in and a movie theater a lot when i was a kid.

Why am I not surprised that Beetlejuice is one of Sabrina's personal favorites? Also Return to Oz is a great niche choice, and I relate to her reasoning. The horror elements in it, as well as certain other movies and TV shows I grew up on, helped me get into horror, too.
