Just an FYI mate, the reason your boxes shrinked or ignored the width because you have flex 1 for the card. Remove the flex 1 from the card style which will resolve the issue. Btw you are awesome..

When you have multiple components with flex: 1 within a flex container, each of them will take an equal portion of the available space. This is particularly useful when you want components to share the available space evenly.
