I agree , I take all my own samples also. I believe consistency pays . We also use a inline ripper in the fall and I plant right in those lines in the spring. We don't get winter rain like you do , we get the frost to help lossen the soil .

My Y-drop rig and tractor might not work for Dylan's corn at chest high lol

Soil Warrior has a 2 min video on a producer who pellets chicken manure and applies in strip tillage. We are chicken producers, but even 90,000 birds per batch 7 times a year, there isn't enough to fertilize our small acres(800ac). We will top out at 240bu an acre with chicken manure and 79 day corn planted at 28k.

Just came over from ur channel thru Dylan video. I’m in the process of buying a strip till unit now if I strip in fall and restrip in spring we have a Great Plains VT to run ahead of planter would that work. My plans with Strip Till was to run it as a combo unit with planter just wondering if I could do that instead of VT ahead of planter

Yes that will work but you would gain more bushels by running fertilizer with the strip till. We run the VT to warm the ground and get the smooth surface for even emergence. Good luck to you!

I may only get a couple inches of rain from tassel on. sometimes less. does that still apply to late N applications or in my case would you want it out earlier so more rain could get on it?

We always try to hit the V 10 mark. You want it there when it opens it’s mouth.

Without prying to much what % of total N do you like down with planter or pre plant and what % at sidedress / V9. ?
