The thing that makes Reacher so special is that he has as much brains as he does braun and he never says anything more than what's needed to be said.

I saw that too, and I have a fair amount of experience with cinderblocks. It appeared to me that the block only partially hit him, that it also hit the ground, and that's what caused it to shatter. Just trying to justify that bit of action.

This is a great fight scene, but my big problem with it is,……….. This fight takes place late at night. We established earlier when in the casino Reacher asked Dixon “couldn’t sleep either?”…….so it’s late!, I estimate around 11pm to 1am time? So considering that all the construction workers had left the job site at maybe 6 pm because of union rules? (Teamsters! I think in the US?) That concrete should have been a lot firmer at that point in time some five hours later! You could maybe push a guys face into it given Reachers physical strength but then him and Dixon hiding the bodies in totally liquid cement is totally wrong!……. ….or if this is factually and structurally correct for American building standards?…….anyone living in Atlantic City right now needs to move out of their building!

Yep..., there just had to be some unset concrete laying around at night with not a concreter in sight 🤣 (concreter with 40 years experience) It starts to set in about 30/45 mins (temperature depending) and it is NEVER that wet. 😆🤣🤣

Great show very entertaining
The construction site fight reminds me of the fight from darkman & the two superman films where zod is the villain
Throwing then breaking blocks ? A towel neck stab , yet he continues? Not to mention climbing scaffolding in the dark and fighting ? Far too ridiculous. I wish they’d take a few more seconds to make fights a bit more realistic.

As a veteran Australian construction worker I’d just like to say this is pretty much a standard night shift lol😊
That "concrete" reminds me of the quicksand from a Gilligan's Island episode. Too bad this clip ends before they show them submerging the dead bodies in it.
This guy would fit perfect to play Blazkowicz... in a Wolfenstein movie.
We just stumbled upon Reacher. We all watched all seasons 1& 2 We just LOVED IT Seriously if Prime cancels this series we will all cancel Prime. Awesome show!! .

Dem' cinder blocks lol...
I've often been hit in the face with an iron bar or concrete block, shrugged it off and carried on fighting.
"Let's do this without guns" said no one but a Hollywood screenwriter ever. LOL

Funny how the concrete is solid enough to only leave shallow footprints but suddenly turns to a liquid to drown the guy at the end. But, Hey, its Hollywood!

Death by mortar trowel is a new wrinkle.
This the most insane thing I could ever imagine until the state of this country.
Looks like she did need a little help with her side of the equation.
me personally i wouldn't take a cinder block to my head!
Cause of death: Trowel play.
Is that supposed to be concrete that he drowns him in at the end? If so, thats just ridiculous (But a really cool concept if used right). The fact that its midnight and theres 0 sign of any construction workers anywhere would suggest that the concrete had been poured many hours ago, concrete would never be THAT wet hours after its been poured so its just silly to me. Like i said tho, the concept is really good.

She's holding the rebar wrong... sure enough, the weakling bad guy almost takes it from her.
Cute couple.
Poor Reacher. Why does trouble always find him?
Very slow setting cement.
Might slow-setting concrete.
Not bad, It sparked my interest in the original movie, and when I watched it I really couldn't see Tom Cruise because the series replaced the character for me and he does such a good job with it, when I watched the Tom Cruise film I couldn't see Tom, I could just see this character. If it was the other way around it probably wouldn't have worked out as well, this is a series that you can watch before the film, I guess the books are good too?
They don't know JACK!
Kinda reminded me of The Punisher 💀
How long doesn't Cement take to dry? How much water does it take to make?? How can a grown man just "Plop" into a pool of Cement, then proceed to sink, immediately? Just want to see if anyone knew.

It comes from the same construction site where the concrete blocks that you fall onto bounce up and down....almost like they're on a trampoline.
wish they couldnt filmed this just a little bit darker so we could totally not see a thing happening. i dont understand why films spend milions of dollars in sets, choreography, actors, training, special effects etc and then film the whole thing with either shaky camera motion and/or total darkness so you cant make out the action.. seems like this wouldve been a cool fight scene, if it was visible.
softest cinderblocks I've ever seen...
Mighty soupy concrete
Not concrete
Nobody would leave soggy concrete unattended.

Hmmmmmm. No one ever does a bad job on a construction site? Every last one of them is completely professional, conscientious and experienced? No one ever mixes it with too much water? No one ever, not in the history of building? Hmmmmm.
I'm going to sound random but Alan Ritchison should play Eddie Brock/Venom.
Why would there be wet concrete at a construction site at that time of night?
No
Reacher season 2 was almost as good as Season 1 however, Season 2 had him working with several of his buddies. Problem is Reacher is and will always be a LONER. He does his best work by himself. Hopefully season 3 will correct that mistake.
Two things. Someone getting hit with a cinderblock isn't going to shrug it off. #2, masons never ever EVER leave their trowels out at the jobsite like that. They are valued tools, and are cleaned, dried and put away after each shift. A trowel left outside overnight would get rusty from the moisture and dew.
The concrete 'in real life would not be that wet...
The concrete in that city ,isn't any good at all... Must be a union construction company and government inspector.....
Cinder block to the head, come on man.
Why split up?
Reacher = The narrative is actually better than the fighting scenes. For anyone who has read the books or e books of jack reacher will know that the TV series overdoes the fight scenes.Nether the less still a good watch.
He's my big brother.
concrete wouldnt still be that wet jus sayin

Masonry trowels are stropped against block and brick all day long. They develop sharp edges (and eventually wear out.)
Poor editing at 4:18.
I would have dealt with this situation in exactly the same way. Does anyone fancy a fight?
Concrete scene totally unrealistic. Considering it is dark and well past quitting time that concrete would be set up and hard by now. But it looks good, just not true.

Far better at it than the midget Cruise.
Really didn't care for the relationship between Reacher and Dixon. Just didn't feel the chemistry. Like he was just humoring her rather than actually be interested. I also didn't care for a lot of the action scenes in this season. Just not as fun or interesting as some of the stuff from season 1. And the cement kill just didn't make any sense. I hope y'all didn't do the same kind of stuff in season 3!
@hoop6822

Yeah same, it was perfectly watchable but I wouldn’t go back to it. There wasn’t any real prolonged fight shots, it was just cut after cut. Unlike season 1, some of the best fight scenes I’ve seen in recent memory, excellent narrative and the chemistry was there between his allies. I get that they are bound by the books but some things such as fight scenes and character chemistry can be helped or even sorted when it’s on TV. Hopefully they pick a better book and improve on the film making in the next season otherwise I don’t think I’ll be tuning in for season 4.
