If you are into this type of loner character on a vengeance, I'd highly recommend reading the book series by Robert Crais with the characters Elvis Cole and specifically Joe Pike. Pike is the Reacher type. Always on the side of righteousness and will do anything, anything possible to make wrongs right. Great books.

Doesn't provoke?? He jumps the man's fence...throws the first punch then wraps chain around his neck. If this was reality... in court; he would have been charged with break and Enter, assault with a deadly weapon or with the right Lawyer...attempted murder. The homeowner would win the case with a settlement of 7 figures, not including the dog getting euthanized! The "Hero" seems a little slow...or special; He's a couple fries short of a Happy Meal. If he wants to help puppies...Go to Veterinarian school..Simple!! He can't go around stealing people's pets and giving the owners the Boot🥾

There was no deadly weapon, so it would just be assault/battery, and no sane judge is going to review the description of this scene as attempted murder, even if there's no video footage. The guy accusing him of all this is simply one guy making accusations, whereas Reacher has two eye witnesses of the whole scene AND physical proof that the dog was being abused. He could get fined for the vigilant-ish behaviour of hopping someone's fence and punching them in the face (only after he agressively stormed up to them), but just like the Cpt Marvel deleted scene, the more pedantic you get with the technicalities, the less serious the judge will take you

I wish I could do this in real life to some owners; but sadly the best we can do is treat them and report the owners and hope for the best. Dr. Fauci funded cruel research on hundreds of Beagle puppies. They were strapped down and had their heads exposed to hungry biting flies. When the pups screamed in pain, the researchers surgically ripped out the pup's voice boxes, and the research went on in agonizing silence for weeks. the dogs were so traumatized and physically mangled, that they were killed after this experiment. In my youth I spent several years rescuing dogs in Baltimore. It was rewarding but heart wrenching. I bear the physical and emotional scars of that time. Most of the dogs were alive by the time we arrived albeit requiring immediate medical care. Chewed up and bleeding profusely the dogs had been used to bait fighters then left to die. I believe the majority of humans are good. However, you should never underestimate the vicious cruelty many humans are capable of.

What we did most of the time wasn't exactly legal but I stand by our actions as much today as I did then. Game dogs are almost always euthanized as they are feared to be a danger to society. We didn't want them to go from being abused fighters to being dead. Hence why we never reported the situations to animal control, ASPCA, etc. Game dogs will almost certainly possess dog aggression for the rest of their lives but they can be very loving and protective of their pack humans. With a little bit of "maximum effort" responsible people can give them a good life.

There's not even cold opening or the attempt at an episodic strucutre for each episode, episodes dont even end on cliffhangers, they just end and then pick up immediately where they left off the episode before.
