Lia Kagami I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure it’s just referring to the mistakes he made during the run. A “bad” good run, even WR, just means that there were many places that you could have saved time and kept a good pace to keep the record for longer.

I kill bosses with the knife on 60 fps all the time on hardcore, 1st boss is easy, 2nd boss u need to at least drop him with a flamethrower b4 knifing him and the 3rd birkin jf u arent knifing his back when u drop him u arent fighting him efficiently because thats the easiest way to kill him, actually using the knife should be a priority on bosses even on console, even the 120 frame speedrunners use other weapons on bosses besides the knife when they play hardcore, now when i play 120 frames then i can take it a little easier on the first boss but it doesnt make a huge difference on the other bosses unless u are trying to get the world record, but seriously 60 fps and ur fine, maybe consoles run it at 30 im not sure, but 60 fps is cool

CJacobsSA yeah it's ridiculous like in the beginning when you have to grab the map from that half zombie that gets eaten from the gate and then you run past the guy in the door I somehow I always managed to get bit by those two assholes that come from the hallway but in these speedruns the guys always run right by, never getting hit but I always manage to get hit. even running the 3xact same way and same spots. it's weird probably cuz I'm on Console but who knows its still bullshit

Man, you made the Birkin's first form boss fight easy as pie, I almost lost my sanity to beat him. I'm following your speedrun to get at least the submachine gun and it's really helping me. I only hope I won't need the knife that much after the fight, because I sacrificed it accidentally during the fight...! EDIT: thanks, man, I finally managed to beat the entire run with S Rank after many, many attempts. I couldn't make it with S+ because of panic saves, but I'm happy with just the submachine gun. Thankfully, there are no trophies involving S+ Rank and now platinum awaits. :)

51:25...Most dangerous part of the game. If you're new and trying to get an S+ rank with 3 saves....I suggest using your third save in the server room before heading up the ladder. I've had the worst luck with the placement of plant zombies, on top of that Mr.X is sucker punching me behind the head.

Ah I see, you are new to speed runs. Have you noticed that the colours are actually numbers? The numbers say things like “-1.02 seconds” or “+0.63 seconds”. These numbers represent how much faster or how much slower he is at the same point in the game of the world record speed run time. Example: for “Birkin 1” it says “+7.82 seconds” this means he is 7.82 seconds slower at this point in the game compared to the world record

Pretty much what @Tyrone Brown said but to emphasize it better, the objective is to get it as fast as possible, if it’s something like -1.50 off the time sheet, he’s doing it fast. So essentially, be fast.

You mean the timer? They’re referred to as “Splits” and he uses I think a program called LiveSplits.

What do you think is the absolute, mathematical best time possible for this ? I think maybe you could have saved, 30, 45 sec on the whole game, by avoiding very small mistakes. But that's it... Can't imagine that anyone could finish this game, even on standard, under 50min.

Re2 is so much easier on pc with 120fps knife. Bosses be dead in a sec. Console players have to be better and more skilled at the game. You guys should run it on normal 60fps. 120fps is basically cheating.

@Vase Jordanov glad you agree. Its 1 of the reasons why i will never jump ship to pc. Games should be played the way they are created and not be exploited by fps and glitches. But hey if people get fun out of cheating and advertising them cheating then i guess all power to them. I also couldnt care about leaderboards and speedruns and making money from uploading videos to youtube i play games cause its what i enjoy doing for my own personal enjoyment

@@nightking5907 I do not think it is cheating. It's in the engine/game. RE Engine had this problem since Resident Evil 7. Meaning, they used the same coding. Blame Capcom to fix their coding that TIES the damage to FPS for clipping, then the strats will work the same as on console. They may have not tied the game to 60 FPS for future proofing. Just look at Dark Souls Remastered as an example. The game is tied to frame rate.

at 11:20 you slice birkin 15 times with the knife throw the bomb then slice him 13 more times and he is dead. I copy that exact thing but he never dies for me, I end up having to shot him a crap load of times after to kill him. Does that only work on standard game? iv been trying on hardcore on xbox.

This run feels more real to me, other speedruners like uhTrance looks like they're cheating with the aiming, it's a perfect shot after shot with 0.01s reaction time to aim, it's so stupid.

Yeah this guys runs are awesome. Sorry I don’t know his name thats why I say this guy. Pretty cool runs though. Its helped me alot I would like to see him implement the shotty and magnum in his runs on hardcore and the same for claire runs as well. But still pretty good though.

Why you need just one container hit on birkin 2?

Why that knife fight with birkin didnt worked with me ?! 15 hit then the grenade and i continued hitting him but nah , didnt work with a knife idk why maybe it depends or with the last update they changed it ?! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Frame rates effect how much damage the knife does. Higher the frames, more damage. I don't know how much frames you need to be able to kill him as quickly as he did in the video.

U have to take him below 50 percent hp, he uses software thag gauges enemy hp so he knows, but basically use the flamenthrower and drop him once while continuing tinspray hin to around 150 fuel and hit him with 1 grenade and u should be good, or u can drop him with the flame thrower once, then knife the fuck out him, then drop him with the flamethrower again and knife his ass up again but not too long, give urself time to hit the tram button then use ur flash when he pops up to stun him so the tram hits him, works literally every time.

noticed i think you went for the card on the shotgun, so why it at the end games you ?

Does that knife strat against G1 work on ps4?

If u notice distortion plays with slightly safer strats on key parts, major safe strat he does is grab the flamethrower, on hardcore if u dont have the shotgun this is basically a must unless u want to really risk the run on the second boss fight. He does abfew other minor things differently, picks up more ammo and health, but yeah dist is prolly rhe best speedrunner in terms of playing skill
