No, considering this is a process that can take days or weeks, including happening in separate locations, livestreaming the process might not be as feasable.

I'd like to point out if you have the phrase "you promised" or "you swore" in their reply, not only did we nearly deliver (with carry over and despite copyright trouble) on that this entire year before this vacation, but that these people are also 100% wrong. We never used those words. We specifically stated OTHERWISE in our attempted schedule video. "This is not set in stone!" "We will re-evaluate after 6 months". That video was the worst mistake we could have made for some of our more vocal viewers. It created all this entitlement. Our Game Reviews will continue, as they always have when we return in September, but at our own pace. That's how it has to be in order to move into year 10 and beyond! Thanks for all your support!

I believe this was in a time where he promised to do lots of reviews he made a new schedule showing what he was planning then boom, he could not do it. fans got angry at angry joe So what is the lesson, don't make promises you cant keep, if he had not made those statements fans would not have been angry.

For a man that is known for his outrageous yet hilarious angry rants, he is so calm and respectable to what sounds like a personal attack, so props to you joe and your continued dedication to us, your fans!

Naughty Avocado If only it were that simple. I get you're kidding though. Unfortunately, some people were born with a certain mutation that merges the pole shoved up their rear end with the butthole itself. This prevents them from taking shits so they have to talk shit so they don't have to clench for so long. They think complaining about it helps but it doesn't. Sometimes you gotta twist and pull out the pipe before it's ok again. I get it, it'll hurt and it always does, especially if you're a prideful person but it will get even better and stronger in the long run and you'll get even better reviews than before. Alas, good things take time and even the impatient scurriers of the internet must wait at the stop sign otherwise you or your message/intent will die and go unnoticed. Hang in there.

I understate this is an angry Joe fan thread of some sort so could you help me disprove these statements? 1.Joe is a liar a.k.a said he was going to do this but didn't do it -Said he was going to go by a schedule but didn't as soon as the year started with him not telling his fans that the schedule was canceled. -Said he was going to make quick reviews for games he couldn't get to(last year) but once again prematurely abandon that. -says he hasn't had a real vacation but constantly goes away on trips and I believe he did go on some sort of a vacation last year oh and he had one this year as well. 2. He's a hypocrite -Critic that can't take criticism:disabled ratings and comments and is apparently deleting comments with different opinions 3.hes gotten lazy -quantity of angry reviews dropped in the last 2 years(most severely) -quantity of unedited filler content has increased -quality has dropped here and there like with the short reviews. -he's also put on some weight (he had a neck)

How can you not like this guy or attack him? He's so genuine in his work and the people he creates content for.

Don't be be blind. Joe is cencoring people who are being reasonable. He is silencing the people who stood next to him for so long. On the other hand as a editor myself.... I can say what he does isnt hard just time consuming. He doesnt deserve everything thrown at him, but he didn't defuse the bomb when he had the chance. He put himself under a scheduel he didn't follow. It's mainly why his subs are angry. Not to mention the low effort content he was putting out I could honestly say that it could have been interfering with the A.R. even though it wouldn't take long to make. Everyone is mad that joe is working on things that aren't what he promises. Honestly I could care less about what joe puts out, but some of the hate joe is getting is warrented, and the people he his silencing mostly arent trolls.

Ghostly K Situations change and his original schedule wasn't working in practice. I believe that he will do the right thing here, he seems really stressed and probably simply got angry at some comments that opposed the response he made. Not that I think deleting comments is the correct course of action. Conversation is key.

I think Joes problem isn't content, its communication. He just doesn't have professional marketing or PR experience. I knew back when he made that scheduling video it was going to turn out like this.

Hi Joe, I'm one of those as you said that don't really comment on videos. I must thank you for clarifying all of this. While i never hated you or was pissed with all this "less content" stuff but I did see the comments and I must say I was starting to really doubt you and your activity... I did not do any research on my own so as I said i was starting to doubt BUT now that you clarified all of this I must say thank you and I will keep supporting you! Keep going strong Joe !

Today's mostly younger audience is just so spoiled they don't think about how hard it is to create interesting content and that doing the same thing over and over and yet still doing it in a fresh and interesting way is a super hard job. All they do is consume and demand. Don't let them fuck with your head, you guys are doing a great job, and you should do videos about anything you want as long as it keeps you satisfied with your work and helps building a creative spirit.

Hey Joe, as a former KZread editor, I fully understand and appreciate your hard work. What you do is no easy task; especially with game reviews. 1. Purchase the game (costs $) 2. Play the game under time restrictions (cannot be enjoyable) 3. Capture key footage 4. Plan a creative concept for the review 5. Purchase props and costumes 6. Record your review and skits 7. Edit the footage 8. Add special effects and sound bytes 9. Composite everything together 10. Publish and get the word out on the social media. All that while managing all your other content and personal life. After a while, it takes a toll on you and it will get tiring. I''m grateful for your time and content and truly hope that you have a wonderful break.

All of this costs money, time, stress, probably sleep and requires effort. Sure it's fun to play a game. But that's just a small part of his job. That's the same as I've been. I genuinely dislike his movie content but I just ignore it. I admit I really hate that he doesn't do game reviews much but I just go elsewhere if I need to. But you gotta admit it's a little ridiculous when Joe has repeatedly LIED to his fans over and over promising since last year he would do two angry reviews per month minimum, and NEVER delivering on that promise; then takes a 2 month vacation without telling anyone, puts up a video letting us know he took 2 months off and that's why no content for the past 2 months, and in the same vid says he deserves another 2 month vacation?!?! That's 4 months, how much vacation does a youtuber need lol. Then when people simply say "dude, what happened to your promise man?" he throws a fit and deletes comments breaking ANOTHER promise where he publicly promised his fans he would NEVER EVER remove comments etc.. and now he's going even more overboard muting and deleting comments that criticize him in many cases (people on reddit are showing proof of dozens of comments being erased etc..) He went full Spoony/DarkSydePhil. Never go full Spoony/DSP...

Again, just to re-iterate. The only reason the vast majority of us are upset is that he LIED to us over and over again. If you can't or just don't want to do more reviews then don't promise us a dozen times over a years time that you will, ya know? It's that simple, if he'd just be HONEST with us and say "I'm having a rough time, don't have time for it; or "just don't feel like it right now" etc.. then i guarantee you "most" of the people complaining (at least the long time fans like me) would have no problem and would do just like you were mentioning, ignore the other stuff and click on an angry review when it pops up.

The problem with this is some KZreadrs DO enjoy reading the comments, so when they get situations like these, it can have an effect on them because they then have to scour through page after page of crap just to find actual feedback.

Honestly, a good idea would be a video explaining how a Angry Review is made. Maybe people would then see how much effort it takes. Recording "behind the scenes", like how James Rolfe (Cinemassacre) did with his AVGN episodes.

Joe, I completely understand where you're coming from. When we make creative work, many people (including me) can't force it out on a regular schedule without sacrificing some of the quality & integrity of the work itself. It's easy for us all to sit back, consume free content, go OM NOM NOM NOM VIDEOS and then immediately yell I WANT MORE but that is a drastic misunderstanding of how creative work (and art itself at its most basic level) works. You've worked non stop for years, you deserve your break. The people who respect & understand that are the ones who are, and will continue to be, the awesome, passionate audience that built your channel & the ones who will sustain it & enjoy it in the future. Creators aren't machines, guys. We adore your passion & your feedback but please understand, sometimes we too need to recharge our batteries so that we can make sure the work we create for you all is the best it can be, because that's what ye deserve. *Honestly I resubbed just to see the aftermath tbh I understand why people are mad, but some took it too far. Its understandable why people are mad. They expected content every month, and they thought joe commited himself to this scheduel he made. It takes work, and time to make stuff like anything up to joe's quality: scripting, acting, retakes, filming, actually playing the games, deep assesment of the games, basic editing, key frames for effects (I can say from personal experience key frames are an absolute nightmare.), and etc. Knowing the behind the scenes it makes sense why joes joe's stressed. Joe made a mistake: ignoring his subscribers wants. We basically dictate the image of his channel. Not everyone saying these things were trolls. If a majority of people here want A.R.s then they're going to be cross when they don't get them. As sad as it is joe had it coming, saw it coming, and didn't defuse the bomb when he had the chance. Defusing the bomb being releasing a teaser or progress report on the angry review. Hell maybe even a new scheduel*

Hi. I recently discovered your channel and your show in general. I really appreciate all the content on your channel. I just wanted to say, with the legnth of your videos and the amount of them, a break was well deserved. The costumes and goofy skits are always fun and make me laugh. Your right, my whole family loves all of Joes content and we watch his movie reviews and spoiler talks as well as his angry reviews, we love Joe and it's sad to see him being so belittled by his own fans. Keep making the great and funny content Joe I stand by all of your videos and always love to see more!

Joe, if you need to take a break from game reviews, do it. I really enjoy your other content, and I prefer that you do more than just game reviews, because I just like your personality. And if they want more game reviews, you would need more people to make help you make them, which would lose some of that original Angry Joe cheesiness, which they would complain about. If I wanted game reviews the second a game comes out, I would subscribe to IGN or some other GAME REVIEW channel. On a side note, I would love to see a Horizon Zero Dawn review with Joe in an Aloy costume. That would be hilarious.

Next year is going to be a good year for angry reviews. So many games are coming out that are expected to be good. Can't wait

It is your channel and if you feel you need a break, then go for it, Joe! But I would also recommend not promising a new schedule that you can't keep up with. It will make people feel (rightly or wrongly) they are being lied to. I enjoy some of the non-review content, but also saying that you are going on a break and then putting out GOT reviews a couple of days later may have also made people think you are losing your passion for the Angry reviews themselves ( I wasn't angry at all about you posting GOT reviews, but when I first saw it I was like "wait... isn't Joe on vacation?" XD). This is not me being brainwashed (I don't even read other comments on your videos). This is purely just a couple of things that came to mind while watching this. Hope you enjoy your break!

I think what irritates people is when videos keep coming out promising more content, or a schedule, and then it doesn’t materialize. Here are some videos over the past few years along with some things said: --Sep 7, 2015 - Angry Joe Show expands. Other Joe and Del brought on fulltime. Current video - can’t only do angry reviews, also need to pick low hanging fruit with movies/lets play/etc. I have zero problems with non-review content; I just watch what I want. I also don’t have a problem with the number of reviews - do what you can. Just be honest with the audience. When it appears from your videos that you continually promise something then fail to deliver, it’s going to rile people up. Much like when a developers explain why a game has multiple delays before release - the reasons are probably legitimate but it still pisses everyone off, and each delay or excuse only further irritates the fan base.

I definitely agree with what you say. At the same time, I do feel that there is also at least a bit of responsibility on the fans to be patient as well, as long as the reasons for delays are legitimate. I understand that fans want something as soon as possible, but that is also part of the reason (besides corporate developers) that games these days tend to end up with rushed releases and appear to be in "unfinished" states sometimes and thus forcing the fans to wait and wade through usually multiple patch updates before the game's initial problems are fixed and the game can finally play as if it's truly "finished"; all the while the fans complaints get even louder and worse *because* of the various problems the game has. Personally, as long as the reasons are truly legitimate, I don't mind if stuff gets delayed. It might be annoying due to anticipation for the release, but I'd rather wait just a little while longer and (hopefully) get a better product for it rather than get it exactly when it's initially said to come out, only to have to deal with bugs, glitches, and other problems. *Looks at AC: Unity, which is actually decent to play now, but only after months and months of patches* Like, I remember back when Bioshock Infinite got delayed a couple times because the developers weren't yet confident that they ironed out most of the bugs in the system and wanted to make sure it got released with as much good quality as possible (and the hype for it was *huge* ). As a result, the game did indeed release with very few, if any problems at all in terms of bugs, glitches, game play issues, and so on, and very few patch updates came out for it.

We're on the same side in this - I don't care when/how much content Joe puts out and I wouldn't want him to rush anything. I'm just commenting that based on human (gamer) behavior, people tend to get angry when their presumptions aren't met. It's not always logical or reasonable, but part of the goal of a content creator is to set expectations. And based on the videos I listed above, I think Joe made the mistake of setting the expectations too high, repeatedly. On the flip side is TotalBiscuit, another youtuber I watch. His content slowed down because of cancer treatment, but even if he was healthy it wouldn't be a big deal, because he never makes statements about what he will deliver and when. I think if Joe started a year or two ago with the video stating "the way we work is fluid and we don't have a set schedule, content may slow down but we want to work in a way that makes us happy" we'd be in a different place right now.

I had taken a break from watching you when all this was going on because I was working on some things. Though I am glad this didn't hurt you and that you resumed as you planned. Working my way through your videos in order as we go. I may not be a fan of your movie reviews, but I am glad you have fun doing them because I have never felt like the gaming content lightened up with them there.

I support you man, ain't no problems from my end. Your video production is amazing on your angry reviews, I look forward to nearly every one. Keep up the hard angry work.

I'll be honest. I'm only here for the Angry Reviews as well When there's not an Angry Review I don't get mad I just smoke a bowl and play some Killing Floor 2.

If it's one every x month, then that's it :) Sad that he has to justify this, but KZread has come to a difficult state... every KZreadr is having problems right now, in addition to the downfall of advertisements (and most likely the end of YT as a revenue source). S'chn T'gai Spock i couldnt agree more, my first PC was a Compaq Presario with 1mb of ram. Remember 14400kbps dial up waiting just for a picture to load! With the speed at which information is available it is easy to forget how lucky we are to be at this point in technology. Love this channel's content and will continue to watch.

I subbed for your honest and unbiased opinion, I do enjoy the angry review format but even if it was just you, a camera and your honest reviews of the games I'd still be around.

I'm not sure why everyone is so angry. Not only did he provide the statistics for his review frequency but at it's core people's are angry at a content creator for diversifying content. You are watching him for free, and if he suddenly wants to change then he has every right to. Joe isn't a slave for his viewers. He seemed very reasonable, besides the disabled comments.

I donated 300 USD to help him create more and better gaming content. I didn't expect him to use it to sit on his ass and watch movies then sit on his ass again with friends to do a group talk. And I'm not the only one who donates to him for gaming content. But I guess everyone is ok being played esp those that do watch for free.

Vlog style content on "the making of" each episode of angry reviews would be a new type of content that can be released after each angry review. That might hold people over until the next angry review if they can watch you making the last one. I like your videos Joe, most of them anyway. :)

See? This is how you make constructive criticism, if that's even what it is, suggesting and trying to contribute some ideas. I remember that James Rolfe made a "making of" video -WITH a review included!- on AVGN, and not only was it lots of fun, but actually pretty informative! True, it's a different beast altogether because he's actually playing in "real time" as he speaks, and that's an entirely different method, but it'd be cool to get a glimpse of the creative process for his Angry Reviews. (He uses tons of editing and chroma effects, so it'd even be fun and pretty educational for amateur video makers)

Or, a better idea would be not putting sub-par content on the Angry Joe *Show* channel. Other popular KZreadrs have second channels for things like "making of," vlogs, and streams. I suspect the only reason Joe doesn't do that is because instead of having his current subscribers migrate, he could just spam us and hope his current subscriber base will click on.

Joe one thing I've noticed (I know you probably won't see this) is in your Movie/GoT Reviews, you talk over people a lot. You don't let people talk as much as you do. For instance, in the GoT episode 3 review, the guy kept trying to say something, three times within a pretty short span as soon as he started to talk you cut him off. I would like to hear the other two guests opinion more, I get it's your show/channel but it's very frustrating to watch when you speak over the other hosts. Just my two cents.

Loki Styrbiorn it's just that he's not a great revised for movies/shows. I've watched maybe a handful of them and one time he kept referring to the special effects as graphics. I like Joe and his content, but I'm not the biggest fan of his non game content. I love his rants, streams, angry reviews, even the rapid fire ones. I'm not gonna hate on him like a bunch of people in the comments and demand only Angry Reviews, I just think his other reviews could be better.

I love you AJ! Stay angry and I enjoy your content, regardless of what it is! Keep up your work brosef.

You watch a youtuber for content. If the content degrades, then people have a right to criticise. IDC if it may be seen as mean or politically incorrect, they still have the right. If people did not critique, then they'd put less effort in their videos, because hey, it's making them money. Your channel grew on me tremendously. Would love to see a cameo of the Joe's in a movie.

As of 9/7/2017, 50 videos since his Friday the 13th game review. Doing the math 34 of those videos have been watched by less than 10% of his subscribers, and 11 are under 25%. His Friday the 13th review got just over 50%. So either we have a split in the subscribers and content, 10% watching anything that Joe makes, or both. This seems like Joe is trying to juggle so many types of content to please small numbers. Its almost like he's min-maxing his subscriber count to me. Or just....doing whatever he wants to do at any given time and rolling with the punches now while saving his creative load on the next big game he wants to review, like Destiny 2. This is not an argument for or against what he's doing. I'd just like to point out view counts.

Take your time Joe. Quality before quantity. :)

Hi Joe, been watching for years (since the AC3 review I think was the first one) but never really commented much in that time. Just wanted to say I've always been a huge fan of hearing your perspectives on things, I'd never really been much of a fan of strategy games for instance (had just never really tried one) but your videos on them and how passionate you always were encouraged me to try them more and now they're one of my favourite genres so just wanted to say thank you for that. It's not just the games though but also movies and the other stuff(and the board games as well, didn't want to leave them out), I might not always agree with your opinions but my point is that you always have an interesting and different take on things and that's what I like about and why I look forward to your videos. I'm sorry about the vocal minority but I hope you're doing ok and I look forward to the next video, take care.

Joe, I've had more time to really think about this. Now that I've gone back and really looked at your past vids, you need to realize something. You are our voice, sir. You try to keep micro transactions from becoming commonplace. You speak for those that don't have a voice in the gaming community. You keep shitty devs in check. You have all the right in the world to take a break, sir. However, when it's important, your angry reviews reach more ears than anything else. Perhaps people have a difficult time explaining that to you. Perhaps they're asshats. That's all true when it comes to the trolls. However, we all come here (at least your more intelligent audience) to make sure our voice is being heard. You are our voice, Joe. You decided to make a living out of this. Should you decide it's not worth the effort, say so. I get that everyone needs a break Mr. Vargas. But 99% of your people want their voices heard and you are, by far, the best at making that happen. Joe did some pundit video here and there in the past, but that's long dead now. He barely mentions anything anymore, unless it's in a review. He turned into a pure entertainer, instead of being another voice along with Jim Sterling and TotalBiscuit. He might have been our voice, at some point, but he's not anymore. The companies don't care about him anymore, what he says goes over their head. The sooner you accept that Joe is not a pundit, is not our voice, is not a critic, the lesser the fall will be. He's just an entertainer who happens to make video game reviews from time to time, and little else.

You know what Joe?! Even though I would always love more Angry Reviews, this is YOUR CHANNEL. You should do whatever makes you happy. You can try to do content that we like, but in the end you will burn out if you don't enjoy what you're doing. I don't think that the problem is people don't like you, they just want more of what made you great.

I found a kinda middle ground for myself - I'm mostly just interested in your proper Angry Reviews, also sometimes some Angry Rants. The stuff in between isn't really my shtick. So I may not be subscribed to you, because I don't want that other stuff in my sub feed - but I regularly manually check your channel for any new uploads, so I still catch all the content of yours I wanna see regardless. That's how I typically handle following channels where I'm interested in a specific part of it.

Joe, I am really interested in the process of making an Angry Review. Would you mind putting together "making of" type of video about your next Angry Review so that people get a taste of the great effort you are putting it into them?
