I'm glad I found this. I don't have the original remote for a Panasonic TCP65s1 I just picked up, but hopefully I can use the programmed one to mimic these efforts. Hoping there is a way to adjust VS, if needed, to remove or reduce the dancing red/green pixels effect in light-to-dark transitional areas of screen.

Thanks for the video! I have Panasonic Viera TC-P50ST60 and all the 3 HDMI input are not working meanwhile the composite video it is working. I'm thinking to use a HDMI to analog video converter to continue using the TV, but I believe the A Card TNPH1045 is the problem. I need the Panasonic Viera A Card TNPH1045 but I did not find it in your site, all the models are out of stock. Do you have any recommendation?

hmm I have a Panasonic Viera Plasma from 2009 here, but the remote looks a little different first of all. - In the spot you have the info-button, there's an 'index'-button (for TeleText, I guess) on mine, although the little logo on the button itself does show an info-icon (a little i next to lines). But the button-combination doesn't work. - I also have a separate i-button, but it doesn't work by pressing that button in combination with Volume Down either. - Would you know if my TV would even have a service-menu like this and how to access it? I was actually looking for a "sweeper" as well, as I saw someone mention somewhere. Would've been good to know years ago, if it's actually in there.

Ah, never mind... In my case it's holding the Volume Down button on the TV itself and then hitting the 0 on the remote 3 times within 2 seconds. - Just in case anyone is interested. I could also exit the SRV-menu by just turning off the TV, at least with the hard switch on the front (not sure about Standby). I'm kinda baffled why they couldn't just make the navigation correspond to the... well, navigation-buttons. - I guess those get ignored by the software, but they could still just program it for EVERYONE's convenience, including people who are supposed to service these things. - But oh well... guess I can dabble in it now, after a decade...

No info button on the original silver hdtv remote for the TH-42PX50U

I have gone through service mode as in video on my TC-P50UT60-2 Panasonic plasma.. I hope it may have triggered something to solve my problem. there were no error codes recorded in 9605 hours recorded. I have a horizontal line that shows up occasionally perhaps 3 pixels maybe 1/16' wide. moving cables knock to side of tv nothing makes it change just comes and goes always in the same spot a 1 inch below centre of screen. I'm tempted to try removing the back to unseat and reseat the ribbon cables on left side of tv looking from back. Do you have any other suggestions?

With this service menu can you use it to reset the TV to factory reset to original when it in setup mode

You should be able to do a factory reset, except for items like the total run time.

Great video, but how do you reset the errors?

When I look through the adjust section (not WB adj) the colour is set at 32, wondering what this means? Is it fine tuning or something else?

32 is just the center range from 0(0%) to 64(100%), the default setting. Is that what you are referring to?

there is option for decrease bright of white screenshots that are annoyng in dark room?

I have the same issue with my kitchen TV (Sony LCD) there is no option for a 1:1 scan on my Sony. It didn't become prevalent until a few years later.

Love the available menu since I don’t have the factory remote but I’m having issues with overscan on my inputs esp via the hdmi to where the signal is going outside the safe zone if that makes sense. Seems that with this menu I can’t access the HD settings or the screen stretch, auto, full options. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Some older sets did not allow the 1:1 pixel ratio. I have a couple that I can not use as a computer monitor.

@@norcal715 that's what I figured. There's a guy that used to make a module that you plug into the TV to reset the hours (I think), but it's used to reset the black levels which improves them.

AWESOME! Is there a firmware download out there for these TV's? Also, is there a service manual available with all of this info somewhere? I have an S1 that is still going strong. It's outlasted all of my other TV's and still works great.

DO NOT DO THIS ! I did what you said on my Panasonic GT20/25 42" with the "i" button. It just make a self check then reboot and i loose countless of hour of manual color calibration. I don't have access anymore into that costly professional tools. Ps Fortunately i saved my calibration settings in the rapport i panually entered them on the software just for information. With a 1500€ software + 800€ probe i can't get anymore. this video almost ruined my day and the coming ones
