@1976chrisc It would have cost more money to retrofit the pipes and seats to handle the cold weather. Insurance paid for the new roof.

cmathi45 it was from the collapse the water leaked in and that’s where the clay for baseball is and they took it out and there is no drain there

Sure glad that $13 million to replace the roof is going to waste with it all being torn down just 3 short years later. Ridiculous!

pilotguy582 the Metrodome, even with all its history in Minneapolis with the twins, Vikings and gophers you still have to admit the place was a dump, it was one of the cheapest NFL stadiums ever, it didn't look all that good, the food was terrible, the locker rooms were awful, the main concourse was super narrow and it would have costed $500 million to refurbish the dome to make it anywhere near modern, while the dome gives me a lot of nostalgia I will admit it was a pretty shitty place and I'm happy The Bank is there now.

It was time they got a new stadium and the stadium they got now is a hundred times better than the Metrodome
