You hit the nail on the head. Season 8 was not just a bad season, it RUINED the entire show. I loved previous seasons and rewatched episodes again and again. Now I can't see ever watching another minute because all the good seasons are building up to nothing. Arya, John, Sansa, Bran: all their arcs turn back on themselves or fizzle away like one of those black snake fireworks. Jamie freaking Lannister returning to Cersei for any reason NOT to kill her and sacrifice his personal feelings for the good realm once again is ludicrous. He goes back to season 1 Jamie, betraying all the pain and growth the audience went through with him. Sounds dramatic, but season 8 literally disgusted me. We fans put so much energy into the show and they soured all that depth of emotion by playing us for fools. "Look guys jingly dragon keys in your face. Oooh a shiny Night King. That's all you need right?"

Whenever I rewatch, I’ll go to season 6. Then I come to KZread because there’s this guy who rewrote it. It’s like 4+ hours long. I call THAT the real game of thrones.

Good video. Good points. Also it seems Carice has low standards with entertainment. That's ok. That's fine. But they're nonetheless low. 20 years later we still talk about The Lord Of The Rings. In 2022 nobody talks about Game of Thrones, except one or two youtube videos here and there every 5 months saying how terrible Season 8 was.

It was ungrateful to the fans who made them all rich and launched most of their careers.

It's a funny world where fans are the ones who should be grateful, instead of the showrunners being grateful to the fans without which this show or any other might not have lasted beyond a season or two.

Yeah, they're elites full of themselves and really thinking we should be grateful for table scraps.

So far Maisie Williams is the only one I know of who's just come out and admitted "the show fell off near the end". Sophie Turner, Peter Dinklage and Carice Van Houten's simping to the writers is unseemly.

I remember Emilia being asked about her character and she said she had to take a LONGGG walk around after reading the season finale script. 😢 That's so sad! She said she was in a daze basically and couldn't believe what she read.

These actors just want to continue working with either HBO or just be know as yes men and women in the industry. They just insult the fans by saying we didn’t like the ending or blah blah blah, when deep down they know the show was rushed and ended horribly

Couldn't agree more!! How could anyone be satisfied with how it ended!! Fuck!!! It literally concluded with a fucking corporate staff meeting!!! What The FUCK!!! I had suppressed these memories somehow, until i watched this😂😂

I collected so much memorabilia even up to and after Season Seven...after Season Eight...the temptation to bin it all...the meals analogy was spot on.

ATP any actor that works on a shitty show (or shitty ending of a great show) and doesn’t call out it’s shittiness, should never direct or have a major role in anything ever. Great video

Season 7 wasn’t good either. Season 6 just somewhat better. The first 5 seasons were good

seasons 1-4 Goated tv show best seasons, season 5 was terrible with the exception of hardhome. Season 6 was good but not as good as 1-4. Season 7 took a massive turn into bad and where I personally stopped watching the show. Season 8 by all accounts was the worst.
