The problem is that CJ Stroud probably struggles in Carolina too. It goes from a good O line to a horrible one, a good receiver corps to basically just Adam Thielen, and a decent running game to a terrible one.

@@spidamitchell8311 The Texans' WR core isn't bad at all. They're vastly better than Carolina's. Can't give me a better receiver over there besides Adam Thielen that are better receivers than anybody in Houston. Nico Collins. Tank Dell. Noah Brown. All amazing WRs and would start their way over anyone else in Carolina.

@@Kezzex Honestly before the season started and you got to see them play with their respective QB's. Carolina had the better group of players and a better O-line on paper. I think Stroud is that good that he made the Texans Line, WR's, TE's and RB's look that much improved. I feel if you put Young on the Texans they take a legit step back and we might be trashing their group like we are the Panthers now. Where as i think the Panthers look much better with Stroud starting at QB and the group ppl had ranked higher on lists coming into the season looks a ton better.

@Kezzex CJ is making those guys look good, Collins has just been alright before this year, Brown is a vet but not one anyone was talking about and Dell was drafted this same draft because CJ told the Texans he wanted him drafted so he would have said the same to Carolina. As far as the O line most of the year it's been a patch work job with only Tunsil as a pro bowl player.

The very fact that it was leaked that the HC and GM both wanted Stroud but the owner vetoed that for Young, _while_ Young is in the middle of a disappointing start, tells you that the Panthers have got some serious organizational issues. You can _not_ let that kind of information, true or not, get out into the wild. It's going to destroy any confidence your rookie QB has, when he's already having troubles.

Stroud has clearly shown everything you want in an NFL QB. He's been able to read NFL defenses, get the ball out at the right time, adjust even when his O-line isn't doing great, etc. Maybe his stats wouldn't be as good on the Panthers but it's clear that he was definitely a better choice than Young.

I just wanted to give my little dose of opinion regarding Young. I'm not a fan of the team or anything, and I understand the comparison they make between the two rookies. But let's also be honest that what's happening with Young is the normal expected process. A rookie learning the ropes of the NFL. Even Manning struggled a lot in his first year. Maybe this speaks volumes in favor of Stroud, of course. What he's been doing is sensational. But let's be careful not to burn a player who could be phenomenal after learning things properly.

Being drafted number 1 as a quarterback is the worst thing possible. You go to a team with an awful O-line and poor receivers. As a result you either get hurt or you throw a lot of interceptions and have bad stats. Which then the league labels you a bust and your careers over.

Those "What If" scenarios from the 2023 Draft. Being a rookie CB is the hardest position to start at I think he is ok it’s baptism by 🔥 RN This draft kinda sucked I can see it saw two guys in the past 5th pick and 10th pick or 1st pick so far so I saw that photo was a good kid never give up on the spot on roster chip to rebuilt the super bowl 57 I like a bigger room for Washington QB Sam Howell want him to stay on the team I was thinking about the bills team was not good so I want to be in the 5th pick tied up with 1st pick 3 team are left in top 2 teams like in top 10 Wild guess: CJ Stroud goes #1. Hats off to him for FINALLY being a legit NFL QB from Ohio State. Why tf would the Falcons draft a CB their CBs aren’t the problem on the team it's QBs clearly if anything draft they should have drafted a pass rusher at the spot they were at or Jalen Carter at DT The Saints beat the Falcons 24-16 I know it's wrong but the Steelers will beat the Bengals 35 14 from the browns and broncos This draft in top 2 teams was good I can see kinda sucked Would've had Dallas does have the best CB duo in the NFL even without Diggs 🤷‍♂ Considering so many professionals including CJ Stroud himself said. CJ is doing so good in large part because of his coaches and teammates. Panthers would have screwed up Stroud too. Even if he would have done better than Young, he still wouldn't be anything like he has been with the Texans. I just wanted to give my little dose of opinion regarding Young. I'm not a fan of the team or anything, and I understand the comparison they make between the two rookies. But let's also be honest that what's happening with Young is the normal expected process. A rookie learning the ropes of the NFL. Eli Manning struggled he saw that game was true a lot in his first year. Maybe this speaks volumes in favor of Stroud, of course. What he's been doing is sensational. But let's be careful not to burn a player who could be phenomenal after learning things properly and speaking to him about why he is saying about okay help me out here next week 13 I was taking about let me know moments in of the comments of the week.

If you’re a professional NFL scouting department it’s your job to know. Your job isn’t to make mistakes because anybody could do that. It was the Cleveland Browns job to know Josh Allen was the best QB in the 2018 draft so why did they take Mayfield. It was the Panthers job, as professional scouts, to know Stroud was far better so how didn’t they know that. Every year “professionals” prove that anybody could do their job and have the same if not better results. It’s astounding to me.

Scouting is more or less educating guessing. Sometimes it’s system, sometimes the player can’t adjust to the NFL. Take the 49ers for example they drafted an all time bust and potential all time steal in the same draft with Trey Lance and Brock Purdy. It’s not an exact science

Before watching, I’m gonna say stroud goes 1. Johnston exits first round and puka goes between 20-23 instead, Jalen carter goes earlier, maybe to 3 to Houston. Byron Young goes first round and Tyree Wilson either drops in the first round drastically, or doesn’t even get picked first round.

We’re talking abt Jordan Love and Zack Wilson here… If Rodgers didn’t mess up his Achilles he would probably be running for MVP with Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard as his main targets. The problem ain’t the WR’s, but the fact that Zack Wilson plays like a pop warner QB… As of the Packers, I mean come on now…Jordan Love couldn’t be a decent QB even if he had Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase as his WR’s…
