It was heavier than the 14oz advertised. Primarily use mine for hitting the bag, it was difficult to sneak punches in clean during sparring with the glove being too big. This also works as a hybrid mitt/glove for when im training with my 6 year old.

Yeah its definitely about 5 ounces over advertised weight which is huge.

Been using these for a few months. The leather on the thumb tip has been wearing out but overall been holding up well. They are BIG at 14oz but I like the support the provide on the wrist. I also got knuckle pain in the beginning but once I broke them in they are VERY satisfying on the heavy bag.

Thanks for the review and letting us know about your experience with them. I wish RDX made a more compact version of this glove, I think they would be a home run. The size for a 14 ounce is huge, not sure why they went so big but nonetheless still a good glove for the price point.

Good review. I am looking into buying some equipment from that brand and trying to compare the different boxing gloves they have

Thanks! RDX makes some good quality stuff, especially at an entry level price, I'd compare it to some of Title's mid to higher end products. Good luck with your hunt.

i got mine own T1 gloves but an older version. I am only about 135 lbs below but i swear if i am about to get another RDX gloves, i will get one size smaller than standard. A 14oz glove but it's way bigger than 16oz Fairtex gloves. I always get my arms tired out in hard sparring with these. Btw i'm a kickboxer, do you think 14oz is too big for a 130 competitor for sparring, eh. Thanks.

Thanks for the review. I bought RDX S4 10 oz gloves for a boy of 13 years. When I weighed them on the scales, the weight of each glove was 18.3 oz (530gram). Weight more than the declared weight of 240 grams. This is not acceptable .... I want officials from the company RDX explained, what is wrong with the weight gloves RDX ??? Also, the volume of 10 oz of these gloves looks like a volume of 14 oz. I am very disappointed....(sorry for my English)

Appreciate the feedback! I agree with the weight of some of these gloves being completely off, it defeats the purpose of sizing.

The graphic on the strap looks different from what's shown in amazon or the rdx website. What the deal with that? uk, us versions?

Hey Paul, just checked both Amazon and RDX website, and you're correct, the pair I have has a slightly different strap. Maybe the US versions are different? In any even I dont think it changes the glove other than the strap aesthetics.

Yo brotha, I need your advice. I met a 15 year old kid at the gym (powerhouse), and he told me he has been boxing. He showed me a video of him sparring, and damn he was good.. He then told me that he is only being raised by his mom (so doesn't really have any money for boxing gear). So I told him I was going to buy him some gloves. I saw your video, and I ordered him a pair of these gloves "RDX 14oz T-1". Do you think he will be able to use them? I'm hoping I made a wise choice...

Good for you man, and yes he should be able to use them fine, they run a little big but it also depends on his hand size but I dont foresee it being a huge issue.

Got these in 12 ounce and I feel they are tight and stiff where my finger tips pinch at the end and need some more room to reach forward. Do they wear in eventually?

  • @csquaredboxing

Yes, they will break in eventually, you can also stuff an old t shirt or towel in the finger compartment to loosen it up if need be

Just a question, do you have the measurements of the 14 oz gloves? I’d like to know if they’d fit me considering I have small arms

  • @csquaredboxing

    @csquaredboxing

Stein Shum I don’t have any measurements, if you have small arms I’d say these wouldn’t be a good choice. I have a medium build (5’8” 147) and 69” reach and they are big on me.

Never too late to start and learn boxing! Weight of the gloves sometimes do matter depending on brands, but certain brands have more snugger fitting gloves than others. If you have smaller hands, I would steer towards more of the entry level to mid range Rival Boxing Gloves. They typically fit snugger.
