    The handles are mounted this way because you would normally put them on their backs and roll them.

    i´ve got the 8003 AS II and let me tell you they get the job done, Hip hop, R&B, Reggae, Reggaeton sounds crazy it goes deep enough and hard real hard, i´ve heard good things about the 8004 AS but the 8003 AS II is almost 400 dollars less so ... nice review by the way!

    The 8004 is more rugged and better suited for the traveling DJ, that’s my best guess as to why it’s more expensive. Thanks for your comment, and I’m glad you’re happy with yours 👍🏼😊

    The handles are placed sideways because that’s how you’re supposed to carry it on the road. There is a caster kit for the back, one for each corner on the backside where the amp is so it rolls with the handles In the proper orientation.

    Slagtic I had casters on other subs in the past, and ended up removing them because it doesn’t allow the subs to sit properly on my hand truck. I usually don’t have anyone to help me carry them, so I have to rely on my hand truck for stairs and rolling dolly. The wheels are expense and just more of a pain when working alone. So, not worth the extra expense for me.

    That JBL 835 SRX sounds top notch! Not sure how I feel about having mix-matched brands though. I wish the JBL's were just a little lighter and smaller.

    They’re not super heavy, just a little bulky. The RCF subs feel much heavier. I don’t see anything wrong with having miss matched tops and bottoms, I think it’s just a matter of personal preference.

    centerstage entertainment Acceptance I guess. These are PA subs. They’re not built to deliver the same kind of bass as car audio subs. And they need to be broken in before they perform at their best. Mine sounded kinda mediocre before they were broken in, but they broke in quite nicely. Being a car audio guy, I still wish the frequency response would be a bit lower. However, what they lack in frequency response, they do make up for it in output!

    Thanks for letting us know, that they are good for Hitting hard music like Rock, I’m a dj i play dance, Reggaeton, Hip Hop. And a Little Rock music. I need a deep bass and thanks floor letting me know your thoughts.

  • @strobaholic

    Well it depends on what your opinion of “deep bass” is. Now please understand, the sound quality on these is fantastic! But if you’re looking for high output below 40hz, these are not for you. But anything above that, they are amazing. I ran a frequently sweep on them and they fall completely flat, as soon as it dipped below 40hz. By comparison, my JL Audio subs in my old truck went well into the teens and maintained output. So in that regard, I’m disappointed with the 8004’s.

    Hey , can you please tell me how do you manage to supply the subs with electricity in your home, i know they dont have regular cables like a basic sub .I want to buy some pro speakers but i really dont know how they can work with the regular power outlet that we all have in our homes.

  • @strobaholic

    @strobaholic

    These subs use a “Powercon” connector on the back. But it comes with the cable. In the US, it comes with a NEMA 5-15 to Powercon cable. In your country, it should come with the appropriate cable to work with normal power outlets. I hope this was helpful.

  • @strobaholic

    @strobaholic

    Ай бұрын

    at $3500 each, I don’t think it’s worth the upgrade. If you can find a nice used set, then maybe. I just sold mine for $4000 for the pair. The RCF are excellent subwoofers, but I think some other brands offer a better value proposition. Now, if you don’t mind spending $7000 on two of these subwoofers, then yes I think you will be very happy with them because they perform very well and hit really hard. But that’s a lot of money lol

    I’ve rented the EVs. They probably go slightly lower, but not by much. PA subwoofers don’t like to hit very low frequencies for some reason. As far as SPL output and clarity at high volumes though, the RCF are superior.

    $1200 and 300 watts difference according to Crutchfield. There’s gotta be a good reason to justify that huge price difference though.

    Yeah, that's a significant price difference for just 300 watts.Your comment about them not going as low as expected makes me wonder if it's worth it. The only reason I'd go with this over the 8003 is the because of how low it goes. Needless to spend that much if it won't achieve my goals

    Yeah if you’re used to super low bass notes in the 20’s and 30’s like what you’d normally find in car audio, then I don’t know if you’re going to like these. Where they shine though is live band music. Kick drums are brutal with these subs!
