    Thank you so much for the review... I was considering HDM45a as an upgrade to my DZR12 since you rated HDM45a so high.. but the size of that thing made me doubt the portability even though its pretty light for the size. Then I found this review about nxl24a mk2. Your comment saying that you would choose this over the HDM45a sold me. So I purchased two of nxl24a mk2 and it was a great decision. Compared to my DZR12, I think DZR could go a little bit louder or the same... However, when you compare sound quality.. the RCF just beats the DZR on another level. The band and vocal sounds fuller, bass is s good, and the vocal sounds much more beautiful... You are right saying the clarity of this thing is amazing.!! Thank you..! Note: I am using these for 250 people venue - church service, with just one RCF 8004as subwoofer. ( The sub is enough for now for my need ), may get another one if we move to a bigger venue..

    I like the TT515 and the wide 100degree dispersion, but will not pay for all that RDnet and rigging crap. For me TT515´s sound is a hit, but the TT808 is shit and only for theater, auditoriums, etc. 100% agree with your idea about a dual 12" 👍👍👍👍👍

    Thank you for this and other speaker reviews. I find your insight and experience informative. My question is probably the opposite of what most people ask. What would be the SMALLEST room/crowd these could comfortably be used? Would the tight vertical dispersion be a problem if people are only a few feet away? I'm looking for a long term catchall for a live band (horns and keyboard) and some rooms are bar/restaurants that are say 20 feet wide and roughly 40-60 feet deep with 10 foot ceilings but we also play outdoor shows that are not extremely large but would cover an area double of triple that.

  • @opaz.

    @opaz.

    11 ай бұрын

    The tight vertical is not a problem. You can obviously play these at adequate/ lower volume levels in smaller spaces easily but they are overkill in rooms that small. There are no rules saying you can't use these for smaller venues

    Congratulations on the presentation. I discovered your channel recently, I really like the presentations and the reviews, I decided to watch all the clips posted by you. I'm a mobile DJ, Rcf Jmix8 I guess you recommend it for very small events. For larger events (100-200 people indoors) what system do you recommend? I want to upgrade from 8003 AS mk1 and Art 725A mk1 Budget up to 9000 Euro. I still own EV Etx 15p, it was an opportunity, I bought them at a very good price. I was thinking about Etx 18P but I kept reading reviews that they are not very great. enter the limiters very quickly. Unfortunately, the stores don't have anything in stock for me to test. In my list at the moment I have rcf 8004 for sub. I removed the NXL24A-MK2 from the list, I do events 99% indoors. I don't want plastic tops anymore :) Sorry for my bad english.

    Just received a pair of these, due in no small part to this review ! 1st pair of RCF speakers. It was a bit of a leap of faith as 1) There's not a lot of info/reviews out there 2) Could a box this small, with 6.5" woofers (!) and a 800hz crossover really perform that well? 3) Was 132db peak SPL going to be loud enough. ( I was initially thinking of NXL44's but they are still a few weeks away for UK stock and I needed something sooner) Anyway, just given them a full-volume test fire using one of my band clients multitrack live recording ( so as close to a live gig as you can get without it actually being a live gig) All concerns evaporated immediately. As you say: the power & clarity are really something else. They actually have a very nice sound to them on their own but I should imagine I'll always be using subs with them. I ran a few ( not very scientific) AB tests with my existing Yamaha DZR15's ( rated 139db SPL) - not really a comparable speaker but that's all I have to compare.. Was getting 107db at 5m tickling the clipping light on the NXL24's with pink noise and 109db on the Yamahas under the same circumstances ( just with a cheap hand held SPL meter so make of that what you will) Side by side the NXL has ( to my ears) a preferable sound quality. Not vastly superior but enough to be worthwhile. All in all, so far; I am really happy with them. Final proof will be gig next weekend. Anyway, thanks again for this review ( and all the others you do )👍👍

    Hey, I really appreciate your vids. And the way you described these is exactly the reason I wanted (and still want) these. When I first heard them in a huge park, I was blown away and I'll never forget it. My question, however, is about the TT515 and TT808 combo. I know you've mentioned that they're expensive. But how did they sound? Is it comparable to the 24s? not necessarily in power but quality. And how expensive were they?

  • @opaz.

    @opaz.

    Жыл бұрын

    There is a huge issue with speakers/PA systems. We are very critical about what we WANT, what we NEED and what we want to achieve. We are all so very different in how we find our solution. Many are driven by a brand, NOT ME and never has been me!! What the 515/808 can do, a jmix8 can do obviously. The client, guests etc will never know the difference or appreciate the difference, only us The combo cost 3.3k. It sounded great, quality was better than the jmix8 but the jmix was no slouch and can deliver. I would rather buy 2X jmix8's and have 1.5k in my account. That cut off point again, what it's used for vs cost to us! As for quality 24's vs the combo, the combo is a different system but they are equally good at what they do, difficult to explain. Any dj who might just want that one input to each speaker, these 24's will cater for ALL of your indoor events and many outdoor parties/weddings/events for the average mobile dj. The problem is we have this "I need subs" voice in our heads when we often do not need subs I must tell you, the 44's are nothing short of amazing! Sound demo comparison on it's way. Thank you for viewing and appreciating the vids 👍🏼

    I would rather buy the dB Tecghnologies Ingenia IG1T or IG 2T. I have seen them online (auction sites) boxed never used, less than half the price of the TT515. For sound, the Ingenia are extremely impressive in their own right As for low end I would rather look at a good 15" sub. Not as compact as the 808 but half or a third of the price. You'll also be able to choose weight/price/performance to suit your budget/requirements The IG tops are very clean and may outrun the 15" sub but you can control the tops and your subs to suit. You also have the options to use many other brands (the subwoofer police will not come after you if you mix brands 😆) EKX-15SP is a good sub to try and there's many others Any dj that wishes to spend serious TT money needs to do some serious research. TT is not the only brand line on earth that is high spec. Every time I hear "what about 515/808" I think 😴 (no offence to you Yosef). The HYPE is 🥱. I'm glad you asked, "do I know of another speaker". You're on the right track looking elsewhere for much better value for your money

    Oh finally a good review of RCF´s smallest speakers from the TT Line(Touring & Theater), and to me the TT808 is exactly a small theater sub, not for DJ´s. I Like the TT515 sound but remove the RDnet and rigging gear and lower the price. As I heard the TT808 and saw the pricetag I thought is this the 2023 DJ version of "The Emperor's New Clothes", now the Emperor is just Wedding DJ´s buying these hyped subs
