I wish I was still loading my own ammo, but unfortunately the price of reloading gear has sky rocketed in the uk. I’m still shooting 12G and rim fire though. I’m happy this video I uploaded all those years ago is still useful. Thank you for commenting 👍

I bought this scale in 1976 and still use it. I have check weights to confirm it's accuracy.

I bought this scale back in 1972 while stationed in Germany through the post Rod & Gun club...it was part of the RCBS 'Ammo Crafters kit (IIRC $43 at the time some 48 years ago) - I still have it BTW - kept it though all my moves - from Germany back to the US (1974), from my former home in NJ to FL in 1979 and through all the moves in the 41 years since I've been here...it's STILL my 'gold standard'. I cannot find these for sale anywhere on the 'net - evidently they're no longer and and those who own them aren't willing to sell them...I know I'm certainly not...still boggles the mind that I bought it as part of a reloading kit (when I bought my Rockchucker press) for 43 bux and still have the press, powder dispenser, primer flipper tray, and the original 'tube of lube'...the lube pad is long gone...I switched to progressive presses many years ago but use the Rockchucker for the grunt work of prepping military rifle cases or resizing case when I don;t want to do that operation on the progressive press for whatever reason...

Thank you for your comment, its been a while since posting the video and I no longer have them. They are not far away though as a good friend now uses them regularly. This was due to re loading now prohibitively expensive here in the UK...i still shoot .22 LR and 12 gauge.... occasionally. Keep safe 👍

The big issue with those old RCBS is the small label on the tenths scale. They fall off and get lost over the years leaving you to extrapolate your own. Mine dates back to 1982.

I wish either of my beam scales, or my gen 6 were that accurate.

...I keep a line level packed with my scale & check weights...I check it every time I use or move it...mine is almost FIFTY YEARS OLD and has been halfway around the world...still 'dead nutz'!!! Can't believe the dude who bought it was complaining...our COULD complain!!!

i have the same scale, i came here just to look,...my scale does not have the graduated lines at the pointer, mine just has a little arrow and a "0" mark. i see the little foam piece on your scale, i dont have that, i like it, im going to add one to mine, can you tell me is that factory, and was there one at the top at one time?

Are you sure your bullet is 95 gr ...they aren't all the same ..You can got 94-95-96 gr in 100 bullets packed

Hi, The bullets were all ( 500 ) within 0.2 grains as these were selected match grade benchrest bullet heads. The test was more about ' repeatability' rather than accuracy of exact weight. Thanks for the question and sorry for the late reply. Martin
