Just adding an update as of July 2021- everything still working great! I have had these machines for a little over 2 years now and they are still running smoothly. There has been a lot of great dialogue in the comments about using cold or hot water; I got brave and started running some loads with warm water (not hot), which was technically against the instructions - I still use only the cold water inlet hose on the back, and I basically start the washer with cold water rushing in, switch to a warm temperature until it's mostly filled, and then right before the washer is done filling, I switch back to cold so that hot water isn't sitting in the hose/faucet during the whole load (I found if I leave the setting on warm the entire time, the faucet head starts to get extremely hot, which makes me nervous, so I am doing this process manually. Also, I am still selecting 'cold' on the wash cycle, because I'm only using the cold water inlet). I still have not gotten the dryer serviced by an electrician which I need to do, but I am keeping the vent and lint catch clean to avoid fires. I also want to thank another commenter for pointing out the right screens to buy for the dryer, which fit perfectly (I replace them every few loads): www.amazon.com/dp/B079RDS1Q5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ZJM.Eb1ARSRKZ. Please also see my other comment below for more info! Sorry for my delay in all the comments and sorry if I missed any! Thanks for watching

Tie a stocking hose around the end of the drain pump instead of using a strainer. It catches way more lint.

It also dried my clothes much better than normal size machines. I was so hurt. That dryer was really nice I had the 3.5cu ft. It is huge on the inside you would not believe the amount of clothes that can go in these size portable dryers. You can vent it inside as well with dryer sheets. The machine lasted a year 1/2. When buying these dryers go for the ones with a knob. The digital control panels go faster. Panda no longer makes this model so I had to replace the entire dryer. Fortunately I purchased the one time $ 11.50 Allstate appliance protection insurance plan from Amazon. They reimbursed me the cost of the dryer and I replaced it with the same size Black + Decker. Panda no longer has the parts.

I also bought the Panda 2.6 cu ft with the touch pad. I purchased it on March 8 2021. It only lasted two yrs before it became inoperable. I live alone and do laundry twice a month at most. Cleaned the lint filter after every load without fail. Never overloaded its limited capacity. When it stopped working I spent countless hours researching/troubleshooting. Trying to identify parts to replace when/if I was able to locate the problem. There are NO appliance repair people who work on portable appliances. Nor do any appliance parts stores carry parts. Amazon carries just the most basic generic parts..belts and a few other things. Panda has only ONE 'customer service' contact via online. (The customer service number ONLY refers you to their online website..which is very basic). When I contacted them online, explaining the issue my dryer was having they said the control panel needed to be replaced. I would need to disassemble the dryer to investigate whether that is the actual issue. The control panel cost is $50. If that doesn't work then...I imagine MORE COSTS. For a dryer I bought two years ago for nearly $300.

FYI, I have had these two machines for a little over one year now so I am speaking to my experiences in the first year of owning and using these. Have not had any maintenance issues so far and I probably do 4-5 loads a week. Some other things to note about the washer: -Customer service was able to answer several of my questions via email, but there are no service centers in the USA, so plan to find a handyman or have extra money laying around if you need to fix or replace it. -There was a small black piece of plastic that was underneath the washer which came loose upon unpacking the machine (square shape). This is not necessary to run the machine and is not structurally important (customer service confirmed this). I think it was there to stabilize during shipping. -There was also a cover for the bottom of the machine that was included with a screw which I did not bother with, also not necessary to run the machine as confirmed by customer service. Having a drip pan underneath probably serves the same purpose (see description/end of video for link to drip pan). -There was also a lot of styrofoam inside the washer so take your time looking around and vacuuming out the little pieces and be sure to use a filter over your sink drain where you’re draining the water. I ran a couple of empty loads with washing machine cleaner (powder sold at grocery store) and wiped down the inside before doing any clothes. -The instructions advise that you run an empty load with bleach once a month or so to keep it clean. Some other things to note about the dryer: -It is light enough to drag out to your desired area without needing a dolly underneath (I also think instructions will tell you to only place this on a solid level surface like a floor so I do not have a dolly underneath). -The instructions also advise you to get the unit serviced once a year by a qualified technician. I have not done this yet but plan to ask an electrician more about this. EDIT 10/7/20: Thanks to another commenter, @Cheekie Reynolds, she was able to show me the right replacement filters for the dryer (this is the third piece I refer to when I clean out the lint trap in the dryer) - they fit perfectly: www.amazon.com/dp/B079RDS1Q5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ZJM.Eb1ARSRKZ

    4 жыл бұрын

@@pinrayi7909 the instructions say that if you only have one tap (like you and me) you need to only use cold water (not hot and not warm). I asked customer service to explain why over email and they said "we really do not recommend using the hot water only options since it produces Hydrogen gas, which is flammable. It is not advisable to use both warm and cold inlet as it might destroy or damage the hose or much worst the unit itself." (from their email)

This is the most comprehensive washer and dryer review that I have ever seen. Thank you so much for all of the little details that most reviewers never go into. I am glad that you mentioned the smell from the dryer. That is an important detail. I was contemplating buying this dryer but I think that I won't now. I do currently have a Panda stainless steel spin dryer which is basically a large water extractor and I really like it. It actually spins the clothes almost bone dry if you leave it spin the entire 5 minutes. For washing my clothes, I have been using a large 5 gallon bucket and a breathing mobile washer (it looks like a large plunger). This plunger really gets my clothes clean and it is very simple to use. This plunger seems to be very popular because it always seems to be sold out on Amazon. After my clothes have spun dry, I hang them on hangars on a clothing rack and let them finish drying. It doesn't take long. Again, thank you for the excellent job on reviewing your washer and dryer.

I live in an apartment. I also have a mini washer ask mom if her water in the other areas gets cold while using hot water faucet with her washer. Reason I say is because your neighbors might be getting no hot water when she uses her washer on hot or warm. I live in housing complex it happened here and my maintenance told me the washer or the nozzle end creates some kind of hot water switch causing everyone to get only cold water while in use with anything other than just cold setting. I was forced to get rid of mine by management. It's ok I got another 😅

Good to know that it fills instead of sprays and the 2nd rinse is standard with the heavy load setting. I think this is the machine I'm going to buy. I'm going to get the larger 3.0 though. Page 13 in the manual for mine shows the dryers do take a "cloth" filter which goes behind the screen. The one in my Panda PAN60SF catches the lint that gets past the screen and needs to be cleaned as well. They and the intake filter cloth are easy to clean with a vacuum, just be careful with bigger vacuums or you might suck the cloth filter right down the hose. I think I like your model of dryer better but I'm happy enough with what I have.

21:48 That filter you're talking about is for the really fine lint. To clean it you'd use a furniture roller attachment for a vacuum. You'd still probably replace the filter after 2-3 months.

Yes, if you see the part in the video after the wash is done where I shake out the leftover water in the drain hose into the bucket, this will ensure you empty any leftover water at the end of a cycle so that it is dry when you store it away. The spin dry feature at the end of the wash cycle removes any excess moisture in the washer/clothes too

Very informative video. I've been wanting to get a set for my apt. but having trouble with the power cord not being long enough to reach the outlet. Most say the cord is only 3 feet. My apt. is kind of old and the outlet is above the counter but not too close to the sink. Is this cord on the machine about 5 feet long? GE has one and they told me that machine has a cord of about 8 feet but the machine is kind of expensive. I can't lug things back and forth to and from the laundry room anymore so this would be a Godsend! Any info. you can give me would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Thank you for the review I just ordered the washer. I'm posting an update on this washer and the company first let just say this has nothing to do with this lady but washer is JUNK I should've known about RCA because I've had TVs from RCA that was trash and this washer is just the same and the company I called them about my washer and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me and told me sorry we can't help you at this time. I'm now looking for another washer to buy because this one is taking me 2 hours just to do a load of laundry because it keep going to a E3 and E4 codes and shutting itself down it's been doing this now for 2 months. I'm sorry for this bad review I don't like giving reviews like this but I just wanted to let people know what I have been dealing with. Don't trust the company of this washer just a warning. I ended up getting the same dryer and I LOVE IT never had any issues with it.

If I were you, I would check your washing machine to see if it is level on the cart, and if it is not level, adjust the adjustable feet on the washer until you can get it to level. The reason I say that is because on the spin cycle, your machine shakes far more than my machine. As my machine on spin doesn't shake at all and I also have the same exact cart you have as well.

As of this post, this washer is close to 200$ cheaper on Amazon. It's not the EXACT model, Amazon version is the 210C where as the one in the video and at walmart is just 210. The Amazon version is also .1 cubic feet bigger. Old video, but thanks anyway. This is the best review video I've seen so far and I'm probably gonna buy the model on Amazon. I've watched others but I've still been on the fence but I think this gave me the nudge I needed. Not sure about a dryer though, I'll probably just save the cash and hang my clothes and put a fan on them. Back in the day when I was busted broke and raising kids I used to put MY stuff in the dishwasher and let it hang over night and most times it was dry the next day. (Nothing heavy, no blue jeans either)
