Rolling basses mostly use the Step Slicer to achieve that Psytrance feel. I use a liproll here but any bass or even an Oscbot could be used. Hope this little tutorial helps someone

@@thepoofster2251 I have always been a sucker for psytrance and I recently started learning more and more about this kit with the help of online tutorials. However in the process of that I realised, there are almost no tutorials for playing a proper full on psytrance track on it, with any kind of variations and details added to it. So whenever you get time please put more tutorials, especially for trance!

@@alecradley4627 good stuff man! Glad it sounds great! Just a tip for tempo in the meantime, if you are ever listening to something and you want to know the tempo, just use the tap tempo on the MK2 to find it. So listen to your favourite psy and copy that feel with tap

I used compression and reverb and the reason I didn't talk about them is because everyone sounds different and has different mics and mic techniques. Play around with them until a result you are happy with. For some tips to get started, boost the bass, not too much on the low mid, add high mids for clarity and treble for crispness. Compress not too much but choose a dynamicsFX that still maintains the bass. Also, compressor first or eq first both have good argument to be made but I have gotten better results with EQ before compressor

@@pyramid992 I appreciate the offer but I'm super busy with school at the moment. You may have noticed it's been a little while since I uploaded. Honestly, the best way to learn the mk2 is just screwing around and looking at tutorials. When you hit problems try and solve them. Also check out some music production tutorials outside the mk2. There are many great tutorials out there that (although on different software) will show the principles behind sounds. Learning the production behind a daw reverb or eq will make the mk2 seem like child's play
