    I find letting the glue set without using activators, and letting it set on its own like you have makes the bond last longer and seems stronger. From my findings and the glue I use that is, other brands may be different

    Yes, allowing CA glue to set naturally will give a stronger bond but sometimes there just isn't enough time, especially when you are at the track. A blast of CA Accelerator will help speed up the curing time and give a decent bond if you need to use them in a hurry.

    There are many kinds of Loctite brand superglue. Any good quality thin to medium thickness superglue (CA) will do.

    Sorry, we don't have the jigs anymore. Try searching the web for 1/10 tire gluing jig. The same advice goes for FF-03 parts.

    This video seems to skip the other side's work. Do you glue the other side of the tyre after the 1st side's glue completely dry?

  • @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne

    @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne

    Correct, you repeat the same process once dry otherwise it is going to get glue on the table.

  • @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne

    Most tires do come with inserts now days. This said Sweep does sell insert separate. Looking at off road all major manufactures also sell inserts.

    how to remove the tyre from rims? for touring car

  • @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne

    @HearnsHobbiesMelbourne

    3 жыл бұрын

    Do you want to remove the tyre to reuse the rims? If the rims are nylon you can dip them in an acetone bath to remove the superglue. Anything other than nylon will melt in the acetone. If not then you will have to cut the tyres off. Usually the wheel and tyre combo is discarded after the tyres are worn as the wheels will have some damage.
