    Thanks, Painless. I connected my OLED, on to a SP F3 Deluxe, to the I2C1 on the bottom of the board (nice and simple) Then connected to cleanflight. Did as you said and it burst into life. Thanks for that.

    Thanks for a famous moment :-) thanks to your video I manage myself up to read the inav manual's part about Oled displays and found out that programming the flight controller isn't yet supported.

    I tried and the FPV cam refresh will affect the screen vision to the point where its unreadable.

    Piece of cake, stuck one In my dart with an F411 and GPS, shame you can't specify the display results but can have everything. The screens are about 3quid on aliexpress

    Hi..trying to add an oled display to a anyfc f7 flight controller..using INAV of course. I can't get this to work ..and in INAV1.7.2.there seems to be no CLI feature display capability. Any comment on what I'm doing wrong.. I have a baro on the same I2c bus which works...? regards JH

    thanks for the help could not understand why mine was not working,looked at your board,looked at the one I ordered,looked the same.Then I flipped it over and I saw they sent me The wrong board.Wiki would have been useless for that as they only show the front

    Interesting, thanks Lee : ) Do you know if it is possible for the OLED to display PID values? That way, we can increase or decrease the gain values using TX and see the changes on the OLED. Thanks ~

    Hi can I run this if I'm running Telemetry and a GPs ? omnibus v3 f4 pro fc using uart 3 which is on the J10 connector on the fc to feed the Telemetry thanks in advance

    +CrazyHorse FPV UK you will need a spare UARTut on your flight controller. Have a look for one that isn't being used and that will be your best bet. Best of luck!

    hi i have spent a while trying to do this on my onibus f4 pro,i have oled feature ticked, the same oled as on this video and its wired up correctly , but i get no signs of life from the oled , i have tested 2 oled screens . any ideas why i can not get it to work ?

    As I mention in the video, some makes of the OLED (CIRUS, back in the day) were pains to get working. The one I used in the video fired up fine..

    Congratulations for your videos, they are a great help. In Inav4.1 When you activate OLED screen, the information in the OSD of the VTX glasses stops working. Any ideas?

    None, sorry. I don't use OLEDs any more as I use the INAV LUA script on the radio to check status..

    does the F35 lighting from furious fpv have the SLA and SDA Pins??? becasue i searched for the pins in the manual but i coudnt find any pins, are these pins on every FC or only on spesific ones?

    Can someone tell me what the little spinning "R" in the top right corner of the display mean? Also what does HDUP mean? Thank you for the help.

    I'm guessing you are not a regular viewer. Check out the latest INAV series. HDOP stands for horizontal degrees of precision. It tells you how good the GPS 3D lock is.. Happy flying

    Another excellent tutorial! I've used these little displays with the Pixhawk [where the connections allow for simultaneous use of the OLED and a mag] but now I'm setting up a Matek F722-STD with iNAV and was wondering: Is there is any way to connect both a SSD1306 OLED display and a HMC5883L compass module? Cheers!

    Thanks for the reply. I've had decent luck on my S800 with an Omnibus F3 and the mag located in a wingtip, but I think I'll try running GPS-only on the F7 build

    Just did a breadboard with an Omnibus F4 + OLED + mag and [once I changed the address of the OLED] they appeared to work great together =)

    I have a couple of these displays from different manufacturers and two of the boards had pads on the reverse side to select between two addresses. The selected address is bridged with an SMD resistor that you can desolder and move as needed =)

    Arent these the same screens used in the diversity goggle receivers? As in; they break if you look at them? How durable would these be inside a model?

    They are not built to be bullet proof but we've printed ABS covers for the ones we use here and all are still working (he says, touching wood for good luck!) ;)

    Hi Painless I flashed iNav over my old version of clean flight. A SP F3 borad.My 450 sized quad now barley flies. Any tips on something im missing. it kind just oscillates very badly and flips. I have tried various pid settings but not having much luck. for now i have just gone back to cleanflight which is working fine. Thanks!

    What trouble shooting have you tried already? Tricky to offer constructive advice apart from the usual - filters, reduce vibration etc.. without any detail of what you see/have seen change with your testing..

    thanks, i have just done the typical as you have suggested. i do remember though that the first pid controller "lux" wasnt great for my quad and i had to switch it over to mw23 but looks like in inav and now cleanflight v2 they have taken that option way. perhaps it can be done via cli. just wanted to see if there were any gotcha's i was missing. thanks for your time.

    I have had 2 banggood F3 Racing Deluxe boards act weird after loading and configuring INAV. I went back to Cleanflight on both , one of the F3's is bricked and overheats, the other is unreliable. Not sure if clone boards have issues, maybe, CHEERS !

    Cheers. I ended up going to betaflight. Had to raise the p all the way to 200 and it was kinda flyable. I got my new 5 inch racer so my 10 inch quad isn't getting that much attention now 😮

    I wouldn't recommend adding an OLED screen now as I've seen issues with things like servo jitter with them. If you want to see things like arming status and GPS status I'd recommend using the INAV lua script on the radio... Best of luck

    Hello ! Sorry for my english.. Can i connect in parallel SCL and SDA from my Oled Screen and SCL and SDA from magnetometr ? In my FC only one pair pins, but i wanna use Oled and Mag in same time. Thanks!

    I Googled 'APM and OLED' and the answer isn't clear. APM is getting very long in the tooth now.. Happy flying!

    Great video. For some reason mine only kind of works. I wired up and turned on OLED and rebooted. Screen shows Matek and other data and then the first four lines are good with status; voltage; current draw and alt but nothing for GPS. The bottom of the screen looks like static. I will swap out screen tonight to see if it is a screen issue but was curious if there are any other settings I must choose. I purchased MakerFocus I2C OLED 0.96 Inch OLED Display Module IIC SSD1306 128 64 LCD White from Amazon.

    @@Painless360 I am honored for your response. Your videos have helped me so much over the years. It led me to buying the AR Pro as well as a couple of AR Minis to build confidence (Minis have Vistas and Pro has DJI Air Unit) What size screen did you use (size and lines/resolution). If smaller I will purchase the smaller screen as a test.

    @@Painless360 I returned and purchased three others from Amazon and they all work. I am guessing that the fields are hard coded and can not be changed like we like we can change OSD or via CLI but I will keep researching.

    hey Lee i think this would be an amazing feature to intagrate into my fleet i am just now seeing this since i dont have that many years started in 2019 and i just recently switched over to wings and drones i think with firmware on the internet today and possibly with the community this could really do a ton of stuff for us just so we dont have to have our goggles on while setting up or to look at the screen when a warning is active please let me know you take on this thanks sir

    I don't use them any more as the INAV LUA script does all of the same things and can be used to monitor things in flight too... Happy flying

    aurdopilot has a similar option. I searched your chan but didnt see anything about it. Might make a quick fun video to show that too. As with many things like this I find out its an option when I find your video and don't know about it before that.

    Hi painless360 l bought a Flip 32 f3 omnibus. I've added a link of the one I bought. It's slightly different to the most omnibus f3 boards my one got a white port next to the osd and it has 10 pins the first two is Vout and Vin plus eight more pins.     +Painless360 Sorry I'm a multiwii user, got left behind with the caveman. If you look at the J9 connector the one you're using in the video, it has 6 pins, mine has 10 pins. One of the photos in the link shows the J9 connector with 10 pins. Do you need to use any of the pins on this connector? When using INav. Hope this makes more sense.
