Save the date and get ready for the First Annual RC Pro-Am. This race is designed to bridge the gap between the Pros and the Joes all while giving everyone their chance to win individual classes at their level of skill. This 3 day event in the covered B&G Home Arena will have lots of excitement and great racing. Friday will be practice all day with a Friday night social and live Team Draft. Saturday will be qualifiers and Sunday will be the mains and we will be doing top 5 and TQ awards for each class.
Here is how it will work.
Everyone will complete their practice on Friday which will start at 8am and go to 8pm. Directly following practice we will host the first ever Live Draft to pick the teams for the first Annual RC Pro-Am. All the pros who want to participate (Should be all of them because it is zero cost to them and they can win up to $2000 on the weekend) will do a random pill draw to see where they draft. Once we have all the pros ready by their number they drew we will then begin the snake draft. The Pros will have 2 picks each for both ebuggy and nitro buggy if they are competing in both. So for nitro buggy they will get to pick 1 Intermediate Driver and 1 Sportsman driver. So this will be completely up to the Pro to choose their drivers based on whatever criteria they choose. One question you may ask is how to we prevent pros from being in the Intermediate classes and Intermediate drivers from the Sportsman classes? Simple, we will be monitoring the qual times during the qualifiers and bumping people from their class if they breakout. So it behoves you to get in the class you are meant to be in. Each driver will score points for their team by their finishing position in the mains and add them together with their teammates to get their final score. We will post the points system when it is done and available. When it is all said and done we will be awarding the top three teams in Nitro Buggy and E-Buggy at the end of the event thus paying the top three pros cash prizes and metals as well as each sportsman and intermediate will win prizes and metals.
This event is made to bring pros and joes together to help each other and work together throughout the weekend to try and accomplish a common goal. There will be more to talk about and discuss in weeks to come but right now you need to schedule the time off work, plan the vacation with the fam or buddies and get ready to have a great time under a roof playing with toy cars.
We will be posting lots more info as we go but there will be onsite camping, motorhome and camper hookups (for a fee), horse stall pit rentals (for a fee) and more.
