    I really like it Vas, Corally are killing it. I think you've made me buy one . Great electronics install, I'll be watching this when I get one.

    Excellent clear install Vas, especially the very clear install of the radio re binding, calibration & setting end points. Thats the best & easiest to follow radio install & set up that I have seen, that should help a lot of new guys to the hobby understand how to set the radio. As it can be very confusing for newbies setting up the radio just from reading the instructions that come with the radio/esc. A good clear video on this very subject is worth a thousand words over someone trying to explain with just words on how to do it. Should be getting my Kronos XTR 2022 in the next week or so once they drop in the UK.

    Awesome clean and clear install Vas. Really think that servo endpoints get glossed over far to much when people buy RC's. My T brand 1/6 MT is well known for destroying steering servos. First thing I did was set endpoints and it's still going two years later. Do it on all my RC cars. Quite surprising one side was at 55%. Imagine hammering that poor servo against the end stops over and over again. Perfect tutorial mate nice work!! Love quality tools.. God they make all the difference!!

    Thanks Steve. Yeah, kinda odd that it was 80% on one side and 55% on the other, but it just goes to show how depending on the servo you use, it doesn't always center perfectly in the middle. I did have to give it a heap of subtrim when I drove it, so I guess it explains why it was out a bit on the end points. Thanks heaps for stopping by and thanks for the comment. 🙂👍

    Hi Vas. As you are using a digital servo you don’t need to leave your transmission mode in T-FHSS normal. You can set it to T-FHSS HI. Then you can enjoy the full response of your digital servo.

    @Paul Clancy hi I was thinking of butting a 18t pinion gear in what you think it's better then 22t or 25t I think 🤔

  • @AussieRCPlayground

    @AussieRCPlayground

    2 жыл бұрын

    I'm using the stock 13T pinion in mine with the Max8 motor and it's more than enough. If you use an 18T pinion, you will likely run into heating issues, so I wouldn't recommend a pinion that big with this motor.

    Excellent video! About that screw under the ESC plate you mentioned, maybe it's on purpose they don't put it there? I'd imagine the plastic plate absorbs the shocks when it flaps up and down, but if you add a screw it makes it more rigid and there's more transfer of forces directly to the ESC?

    Vas do you think their is any truth in those that say the Corally Kuron 825 motor & the 135a is faster/more powerfull than a Max 8 system ? I have always wondered if it is more to do with the internal gearing being higher on the 6s Corallys compared with the likes of a Kraton 6s, where the Corallys seem to be faster out the box & more brutal even on the 13t pinion over the Kraton that comes with 15t pinion stock.

    Great video Vas. Just wondering mate I've got spektrum radio gear and am I correct in remembering that you have to re-calibrate the system after setting end points ? Do you need to do that with the Futaba system?

  • @AussieRCPlayground

    @AussieRCPlayground

    2 жыл бұрын

    Calibration is only for the throttle and those end points should be at 100% when you do this. If you reduce end points on the throttle afterwards, all you're doing is reducing the top speed of the motor. This is actually ideal if you want to lend the car to someone with less experience and don't want them to go full throttle.So if you re-calibrate again after adjusting end points, you'll basically put the throttle back at 100% again. If it works ok. Hope that clears that up, but feel free to ask anything else. :)

    Great Install video Vas. How is the XR8 Plus? I have the SCT version (4s) but I have wanted to pick up the XR8 Plus with the 2250kv sensored motor for a while.

    Thanks Jason. The XR8 is now quite old and has been flawless during that time. I also have the XR8 2250kv combo and that has also been great (it lives in my Losi 8ight-T). I think the Max8 combo has more power, but the XR8 combo is smoother. Either way, I think you'll love it. 🙂
