Rc Lawnmover from Hacked Hoverboard

Hello KZread, this is my long year project that i've been working on for a few years.
I had some different plans, but on the end, i got myself a used Hover board and connected it with a simple PWM RC Transmitter.
If you find this video helpful, live a like, share and please consider subscribing,.
The Firmware i used to flash it can be downloaded for FREE here:
github.com/sno...
Here is the flashing tutorial: • Hoverboard Custom Firm...
The First test is Here: • Hoverboard Custom Firm...
And the second test is here: • Hoverboard Custom Firm...

If you need 5V for the RC Receiver, you can use 5V from Hall sensor!

well... i had that problem... i woukd try to charge up the batterry to 100% (~42v), and flash again... maybe the borad reads that the batery is dead at 38v...

Hi, thanks for the video I just subscribed. There are a lot of folders in the link you provided. Do you simply upload the single hexfile located in the build folder to STM32Cube Programmer? Sorry, I'm new to this.

Awesome job! Can you show me how you connected the receiver to the motherboard? I have the firmware from your other video and I'm not sure if the wiring is different to enable steering.

Thanks. The wiring has only one difference, and that's the ADC1 for steering and ADC2 for throttle. To better clarify, ont this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZI6bj9WpaaWqj8o.html it can be seen on 3:00 min. mark!

@@snowkingcro 3:19 is the only close up I see and even that is not clear. It looks like you are taking 5v from the right hall cable to power the receiver (White wire). But then you have three wires. I'm guessing you are using ADC1 and ADC2 and GND raw.githubusercontent.com/NiklasFauth/hoverboard-firmware-hack/master/pinout.png But I have no idea how you connect those to the receiver. Is ADC1 just going to the signal port on channel 1 and ADC2 going to the signal port on channel 2 and power and ground going to any other channels power and ground?

The hex code to flash your board can be downloaded here: github.com/snowkingcro/hoverboard-firmware-hack-esk8/tree/RC-Steering/build Or you can find the link in the description of my video. You can use any 2-3 channel radio remote. Cheers from Croatia ;)

@@snowkingcro Thanks for the reply! I would like to build a radio-controlled lawnmower as in the video, which firmware should I use? On the site I find two versions of the firmware. One file has the word master at the end of the name and another file the word sterring. thanks again for your kindness. ps: is there a connection diagram? from the video dive you explain the connections is not clear. @@snowkingcro I built mine about three weeks ago, and I wish I'd seen your great video before I built mine. I would've made some changes especially with regard to the wheels. Your setup allows for zero degree turns, mine sorts does it too, but because mine is four wheeled, with the rear wheels being the powered wheels, it requires more power to achieve the zero turns. You did and excellent job with yours. Kudos!

Hey thanks for showing us the great project, I’ve followed your tutorial and everything works great except the motors seem to run constantly when the ppm throttle value gets over a certain range, works okay on steering. I even bought the same tx and receiver as you but didn’t change the issue. Have you had any issues like this? Ps check my hover board project , Thanks
