Was a BLAST my friend.... Been talking about it forever, was cool to see you do yiur thing while tried to even hit the ramp with my Wonky rigs.... Note to self, don't bring a throwing axe to an archery tournament😜🤣😂🎯👎 Yesss my friend was great to meet in person, bash, and we WILL be hooking up again hopefully before the colder weather.... But it does help I'm 2 hours south of you, in the middle of the winter it can be 5-10 degrees warmer down here and it's not like we live in NY🤣😂 I can bash year round here I just choose the warmer days and NOT early in the day👎 They just cut the grass at Augusta BMX so let's hit it😎👍.... Though you might be blasting over the fences 😲

Thanks for stopping by Brother Rich😁 sorry the late reply, yeah the Hobao is a great rig, I just git the MTX yesterday and I think that one might be slightly better.... Different though as it's shorter WB. The parts come from Amazon pretty quick brother and to be fair it's tougher than most rigs I will just say that, might not need parts as much, I got a bunch I haven't touched💪 Backflips work great on her for sure Appreciate your time and support brother, see ya round

What's up Werner! Yeah she a beast. Could use better steering Ackerman or somthing but she is one of my true "Smiles for Miles" MT like the Xmaxx, Wonky fun....how you compare the new One to the MT2 for performance and handling??

@@3SonsRC the new MTX is shorter and feels really shorter : in my opinion, the mtx is meant for smaller spaces and it wheelies a lot. the mt+2 is indeed nicely achieved : handling is good, not too much wheelie and it is still acrobatic. maybe the mtx could use smaller tires for open spaces like you did here

@@3SonsRC hobao put a little steering plate instead of the U shaped wire : it might have less play, but i didn't feel an improvement. best thing i their new HD servo saver spring. i will make my own steering for the 8s version to make a more stiffer front end when flipping. abou the 8s backflips tire : we talked about them on FB and you told me they didn't fit perfectly

Be cool if m2c could make a chassis for the habayo🤔 great stuff man!

Appreciate that brother, If there was a big need and demand for it they would. Just not many people bending the 6061 mt plus 2 chassis, plus not as big a market unfortunately because it does not say traxxas or arrma on the side, I love those brands but there are other great options out there. Appreciate the kind support, check the new MTX video dropped last night 🚀🎯

Love the Hobao , it’s one of my go to rigs , I run a single 6 s pack in mine .

@@3SonsRC no I took out the massive receiver box up front made a plate to side mount my servo and added a battery hold down up front , works surprisingly well !!

@@3SonsRC it’s really quite simple , I removed the stock receiver box , cut a piece of aluminum, bolted it across the front part of the frame using the the same holes , measured and cut out provisions for the servo to mount right next to the chassis , which leaves room for a battery hold down , I run a 6000 mah 6s pack , it fits snug but fits , used a cheap Amazon battery hold down bolted to the aluminum plate , used a cheap Amazon receiver box bolted to the side of the chassis . Works good as I hate dual pack trucks .

@@3SonsRC the aluminum I used was from an old road sign . Not the strongest but far superior than that of the plastic box that was there for sure.

Love the video brother I also own a hobao hyper Mt plus2 ...you blew my mind when I seen that you put the 8s backflips on the stock hobao rims. Will they glue right up or do you have to do some sort of modification?

No modification needed but they don't perfectly set in there, glue them well and you should be good, but honestly I wouldn't do this now as the MTX tires are almost as big, come in 17mm hex. But if your up for some fun yeah this was great, performance was fantastic, after I glued them and to touch them up I applied a some shoe goo around the outer seam and that held really good over the initial glue job. I don't have this rig anymore, just the MTX which is slightly better though different.... Had no reason to keep both. Glad you enjoyed the video brother, see you round

M2c should make parts for hobao I think more people own them than people think they're just like a quiet cult lol
