Wow every Crawler has problems with sandy hills,no grip but with this Traxx no problem,deep mud no problem,cool Traxx.

The Mercedes TRX6 6x6 is one of the best RC Crawlers and one of my favorite RC Cars. Looking forward to seeing some of your videos on it.

Great comparison! I was looking at getting a crawler and really liked what I was seeing with the trx6, so I was leaning that way. My wife surprised me with a trx4 sport with traxx (deep traxx) and I decided to go with it. I love it! The traxx get it up steep terrain that the wheels have no chance at. I do want to install the 2 speed transmission and a motor combo that will handle the heat/speed with the traxx on. That way it’ll be better at hiking with on a trail. I’m thinking the Hobbywing AXE or Fusion motors would be a good fit. Any thoughts on that?

The extra drag from the Traxx pods will overload any reasonably sized motor in high gear. That's why the TRX-4 Traxx doesn't come with a high gear from the factory.

@@deusexaethera I actually installed the 2speed conversion a good while back. The truck is so much more enjoyable with the ability to switch gears and go faster for trail driving. I will say that I’ve only used tires for long trail driving though. I have definitely used the 2 speed with traxx around my property on short drives through the woods with absolutely no problem. A multi mile hike might spike the temps to high though, but I’ll just continue to use tires for that (and my scx6).👍🏻

I thought at 7:56 the Traxx 4x4 was going to be a buddy and give the 6x6 a push up the hill. But noooo, it just laughed in its face and went around and over again.

good work! what would you say is the over winner off-road, and which is your favourite to drive? I reckon the 6x6, but I wasn't driving so is only based on the video. Which was great!

Thank you, the Traxxas Traxx is a great vehicle and fun to drive mostly because it is different. It is a slow RC truck that shines on soft surfaces like dirt, sand, snow and mud. It does not like to rock crawl. The Traxxas TRX6 6x6 is a great all around vehicle that is good at everything. With its 2 speed transmission and 6 tires its fast and very capable. Fun factor definitely goes to the TRX-6 6x6.

In my experience, the regular TRX-4 is actually the best for rock crawling. The TRX-6 doesn't benefit nearly as much from the extra axle as you might anticipate.

Traxx pods. They come installed from the factory.

forget about wheels ..... tracks are a totally different concept !
