RBI assistant is a better job in some aspects like work load, office timings, job posting while bank PO is a better job in terms of salary/allowances, status and faster promotion.

Is there certainty for an assistant to get promoted as Grade B officer? What if he/she will not be promoted after many tries?

Hi jack 1) there is no bond period as such , only a notice period of One month, which can be waived on genuine grounds 2) work is moderate, responsibility is high 3) you get 2 days off , but some departments might be open on Banking Saturdays , you will be compensated nicely for that.

if your in rbi assistant post then your posting is permanent or if you get promotion to rbi grade b or higher you get transfer

It depends from Bank to Bank.You may or may not get Delhi zone in case of Bank PO.try to take exams from Delhi itself ( chose Delhi as centre) then there may be chances of getting Delhi zone but there is no 100% guarantee.You may even get rural posting

Exam wise RBI is easy Selection wise SSC CGL is easy As Cutoff in RBI is really high due to cut throat competition and very low vacancy.

Hi : You should go for upto 30 but if its a bit difficult for you,try atleast till 20
