I respect and agree with Dr. Akbar, but as a Africa psychologist, the National Organization of BLack (should be called African) psychology are intellectuals and do nothing for the underserved, poor and marginalized African people or globally/ I agree with Dr. Umar Johnson that they will not risk their social status as professors etc.... call to a revolution- never

Not true. Please do your research first. Many of them did just that before I was born! Unfortunately, that information isn't always shared. They truly paved the way and now as elders, if they want to live comfortably after sacrificing, fighting, scratching, developing and modeling African centered thoughts and behaviors, I support that 110%. They have earned at least that and much more... My suggestion would be to "call to a revolution" yourself with your peers and look to your/our elders for support, guidance, wisdom and protection. I'm ready when you are!

Pamela Marie “before i was born” how long ago was that? These scholars don’t step foot in underserved areas unless it’s to sell tickets for a talk. New, old. Everybody is pimping knowledge and most of it is skewed too. That’s why the mistrust goes so deep in our communities. Beyond that we’re getting info from ppl who only speak the English language and there’s no international effort toward “liberation.” Issa joke and everybody is broke. So even if the info were of substance, nobody is trying to hear it if it’s not feeding them or their family.

So long as they are NOT selling out others or are the instigators of selling out others as sacrifices. Thus far, the information they proffer online and in person is POSITIVE African Spirituality and knowledge. There is a NEGATIVE source of SOME spirituality and religious people also, selling people out in the name of THEIR God as sacrifices for fame and fortune. I pray these are not some of them. Glad to hear it is NOT a specific location, ideas, etc. Peace
