I just found a Razor E200 scooter at our Landfill Transfer Station's swap shack for free. It doesn't seem to have any power. I searched online and came across your videos. Very informative step by step troubleshooting with easy to understand terminology. Looking forward to my first attempt at diagnosis the scooter treasure. It didn't have a charger so I may start by attempting to charge the batteries like you described. Thank you.

WOW!!! When I watch a video and feel that it was a good informative video I will almost always give it a thumbs up, but to be honest have never taken the time to leave any kind of comment, but this video is BY FAR the most informative well put together video on fixing something that I have EVER come across here on KZread! You did an absolutely amazing job explaining in detail on how to check, fix, repair or if need be how to replace anything and everything on this Razor E200. Really really good job! I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to checking out what other videos you have posted. Clearly you know how to fix probably anything and if you don’t know how to do it you clearly stated on here you do the research and figure it out before passing the info on to us. I love that!

Did you spin the rear wheel first? These have a Soft Start that requires the scooter start rolling forward manually, then the motor kicks in. The first models threw kids off, ran into walls, etc. So they changed it to only activate once it's rolling. Many don't know about that.

How low a voltage will the scooter run on? I have an electric dirt bike which the batteries tested slightly low (about 11.4V), and it would not run at all (even after charging all night) until I replaced the battery. Now I have this 24V Razor scooter that won’t run, and equally the batteries test around 11.4V (even after charging). All switches, motor, and breaker test good. And the voltage drops about 0.5V when you press the trigger, but no voltage is going to the motor. And I have replaced the power unit with a brand new one. I know the only thing left is the batteries, but I would like to know for sure if there is a minimum voltage the unit will run on? (I hate to just “shotgun” troubleshoot things) 🤨

Razor Pocket Mod 7Ah battery with a wire that connects to a black box with fuse in it. well two wires that has a fuse box connect to the wires. and the other two wires go to the Battery connector or what u call it. So 4 wires total from those Two 12volts battery. Why do some scooters have the fuse?

Good video, BUT LOL the piece you soldered to the wire is a f2 to f2 terminal connector. I guess you can solder to it like that, but it is made to change the f2 terminal that was on the battery to an f1 if your wiring was f1 instead of f2. F1 is smaller than f2. Smaller batteries usually have the f1, bigger 12ah or higher have the f2, wider ones.

One thing we found was they're not designed to come on at a dead stop, they must first get on and push like a manual scooter while twisting the speed control on the right side. Once the motor is spinning at a factory set speed, then the battery control kicks in and it runs electrically. The first models started right away and threw kids off and ran into walls, etc. So they changed the controller to activate After it's already rolling. Try that first before replacing your controller.
