My initiation to WWE/ WWF was THANKS to Razor and hitman. My first pet a GS was named Razor. Sports entertainment..though fixed need stand out icons. Razor and Brett the hitman were the real deal then.

It meant something because there were no 2 World titles. Hence the IC title was the second most important title after the WWE title. Since the second World title was introduced in early 2000s, the IC title lost its prestige & downgraded to a proper midcard title.

Looking back, it’s Vince’s fault for making Bret and Lex double winner and having Bret and Yoko do double duty at the event. If it was up to me, I would have made Bret the solo rumble winner and face Yoko at Wrestlemania. Other marquee matches at the event could have been Owen Hart vs Randy Savage, Lex Luger vs Crush and HBK and Razor
