great review boardzy! I actually like the raised sensor position as it feels that you are more precise, I think of it as like you are holding a pen, for me at least, I like the changes in shape as I felt like the v2 is too low for me and I wished for a mouse in between the v2 and the sensei lets say. deffo good changes in my opinion. Keep the good work!

Thanks for mentioning the comparison to the "cheap" chinese mice alternatives. I've learned my lesson for "too good to be true" chinese products. Didn't want to risk it with the quality control and sketchy software. Got the V3 a couple of days ago. It's generally a very good mouse. I like the shape a lot, like the clicks and the wheel. I don't mind the weight at all - the previous three mice I used were all lighter than this (CM MM720, Viper Mini and Pulsefire Haste) - absolutely no issue with the weight of the V3. I use it with the AA battery from the box, not planning on modding it. I do notice the higher sensor position though, feels kinda weird and am still getting used to it, it's not bad just weird. It works on Linux out of the box, haven't tried OpenRazer, but Synapse worked normally in a VM and managed to do all the settings I needed. Overall a very good and relatively affordable mouse.

There is one mod you should do for improved battery life - use a rechargeable lithium ion AA battery. Also, there are a lot of decent Chinese mice so don't turn your brain off and assume all of them are bad.

Would be good in future to include mention of the software, does it need to be active all the time or not, need to be online or not, is it a buggy mess or nnot, does the mouse have its own memory for settings, this stuff makes a big difference. Thank you for the review and hi dog.

I think I've finally found my main mouse... not only is the shape comfortable (and this is coming from someone who uses the DAV3), but that sensor position! I'm someone who does NOT like to throw my mouse around the pad like a maniac, so in a way the position of the sensor helps my preferred playstyle SO much. If there is one gripe that I have with the V3H, it is the clicks. It's not a major issue, and I personally believe that they DO feel tactile and clicky, but they just don't feel as good as the DAV3. Hopefully we get the Viper V3 Pro sometime down the line with those Gen 3 optical. Probably would be the perfect mouse ^_^. Also, I don't mind the weight. 82 grams is plenty light for me, and the battery is just a plus. Never have to worry about charging it :).

It does look like a competition for the G304/305 (which seriously needs an update) and the Asus TUF M4 wireless. These are using replaceable batteries and are about the same size tho the Viper is bigger. Pricing are also about the same. Definitely not killing the Viper mini and definitely not winning against Chinese brands. But it does seem like a good all rounder mouse. I'd love to try it but I am bothered by overall comfort and size of it. I'll keep an eye on it in stores.

Grazie mille!

Got some HOT TOPICS to bring up as a finger tipper. Smaller mice for fingertip doesn't give you more accuracy. I don't know why rocket jump ninja even started this. He thought if you're a finger tip gripper, a smaller mouse is going to give you more accuracy cuz you have more movement. He isn't even a finger tip gripper. I'm a finger tip gripper (relaxed fingertip) and personally a medium shaped mouse is way better than a smaller mouse. Yes, a smaller mouse will give you more finger tip movement. But it also works against you as you will get shaky aim. Also too big and I can't even move the mouse up or down cuz I have no room. 19cmx10.16cm hands. The viper 66mm width feels perfect right now maybe even slightly wider without going too long would be nice?? Just annoyed that every forum that I click on every once in a blue moon. (The threads are terrible nowadays, less experienced people and more setup madness) Always someone trying to convert to fingertip or trying to get a lighter smaller mouse. And still ends up going back to something like a GPW after a month of testing. IF THEY EVEN LAST THAT LONG. Same with the whole speed pad hype. Also a mouse can easily be too light. The weight helps you get nice, steady tracking. The 50-65ish weight range seems perfect. Maybe even 70gs. 70 seems a lil too heavy though and anything in the low 50s and especially 40s is WAYY TOO LIGHT. If you're a palm gripper stick to palm grip. If you're a claw gripper YOU HAVE THE BEST GRIP stick to claw. If you're a fingertip gripper and wonder why you're tracking sucks, over flicking, under flicking, and have no consistency. Get a medium sized mouse man. I'm sure there is some fingertip grippers though that have SUPER tight grips that are probably good for smaller mice. But nobody ever brings that up anyways. Mouse sizes have always been in comparison to hand size. A smaller mouse isn't going to give you better aim. It'll give you less consistent aim TRUST.

Why did they make the Viper Mini Signature, but not a Viper Mini Pro version for people who didn’t get the signature, and don’t want to pay the reseller’s price tag. Please Razer give us a Viper Mini Pro version. 🙏🏻
