when the bats hit, the pitching falls apart. When bats don't hit, the pitching is among the best in the league. Every loss feels so miserable and avoidable. This is true mismanagement from top to bottom.

"He (Vladdy) is cut down trying to stretch it into a double." No Dan, that was a double and Vlad was thrown out once again for not hustling out of the box. His out changed the inning and possibly the game. He has been doing this for three years, he doesn't listen and doesn't respect his managers.

Nah, he's been doing it for his whole career, but nobody cared when he was in the MVP conversation. He's just your whipping boy of choice for some weird reason. Try and be objective. Mention how he had three hits and an RBI and run scored in the game. If you're capable of that.

@@NatTurnerswitBurnerz What a dumb point. Obviously if you're not putting up MVP numbers people are more likely to notice your lack of hustle. As for his three hits and RBI today, good to know a guy paid $4M at 16 who took his team to arb for $20M this year can occasionally hit the ball. But I get it, you like to spank it to your Vladdy poster.

@@sheilamacdougal4874Send him where? No one will offer squat for him.Hes a cancer and any manager can see it.Atkins knows if he trades this clown he will have to accept very little in return as well as carrying a large part of that 20 mil.salary.Also there is a real likely hood that is exactly what is needed to get him hitting.Vladdy has talent it's just that he is childish and very undisciplined.I think the answer is to l.t.i. him, then rehab him in the minors and once he is on track to return trade him to a team that has no pitching so he stays out of the limelight.

We haven't been a bad team since like, 2008. And I don't think we're a bad team this season. But we're clearly lacking manpower. Aranda on second, Jackson at catcher, some of our relievers playing three games in a row... It's looking rough. And that's not even mentioning the injuries.

The Rays payroll has been ~70-90 million for the last several years. It's all about money allocation, smart trades, and finding great players from Mexico. That's what's kept us alive over the years. The Rays farm system in Mexico has found so many incredible players. The Orioles are doing the same thing, probably better than Tampa. The Blue Jays could learn a lot from these low-salary teams.

Manoah lost weight and that's one of the key enabling reason he has improved, because when a pitcher gains/loses weight they have to adjust their pitching because the weight will throw off their trajectory balance and execution more than if they lost weight and if he can maintain this stealthy big guy frame he will be one of the most dangerous pitchers in baseball worldwide
