Oh boy, where do I even start on this one! I guess first, this is the run where I beat True Boss Rush without taking a single damage throughout the whole run. As far as I know from the time of this upload, I am the first on KZread, and maybe in the world, who knows. This has been one hell of a grueling task, like no joke. The amount of time I have spent on this (will come back to that in the Q&A have a look there) is beyond what I imagined I would first use. I underestimated Mr. Dark and its ascended form so hard.
I want to thank two KZreadr's for their strategies on some of the bosses! Please, check them and their True Boss Rush run out!
- The KZreadr Kapibar, the one that made this run much more easy. He/she told me about the double punch strategy, where some bosses can be double punched. This includes Viking Sparta Mama, Spider and the first of mashup bosses. Is this intentional? Probably not, this run was done on version 1.05 where it still is not fixed (Ryemanni plz dont fix, tyty :)).
- The KZreadr horheristo, the strategy I used from him was the way to dodge Mr. Orange Stone's one combo and how to easily deafet the Troll Devil.
I have to say again, thank you so much for this game, Ryemanni! For my part of the story, a true break is needed from Rayman and maybe gaming in general, and there is one famous quote in the Rayman community, "See you in Rayman 4!" Murphy.
Q&A:
- Which of the bosses was the run ender (THIS IS A LONG ONE)?
At the start of my few runs, the run ender was always Mr. Orange Stone. The part where he smashes in ground three times in a row, I had no idea how to dodge it. Thanks to someone else that had done a True Boss Rush Run, I checked out their strategy and went with it.
Then, there was Dark Meme 3. This little dude gave me a good headache for a good amount of runs. After doing a few runs to him, I discovered my own strategy on how to beat him, just watch that part and see.
Finally, there is all of the Mr. Dark fights. It was at this part where my sanity was starting to get lost. The part where he shoot flames was a complete run ender for me alot of times, because it is completely random. From all the bosses I have fought, I am sure that Mr. Dark's flames are the only random mechanic in the boss fights. His ball form was a pain as well, but in the end I found out how to do it consistently.
So in conclusion, the general run ender became all of Mr. Dark's fights, because of his randomness of his flames. You can think how bad it is that I have to spend another 20-30 min to get back to him, just to lose again. It was really bad, my sanity got real cucked. The worst part is I got close to beating him two times, on the first when that happened, I had no choice but to continue and get a victory, I knew how close I was, I just needed flame luck om my side again.

No, for the love of God, no.

Most definitely over 24+ hours.
- How many attempts did it take?
Most definitely over 100+, just think that most attempts ended at Mr. Dark, losing me 20-30 min to get back again.
- Did you use keyboard or controller?
Keyboard with the default keybinds, truthfully I suck with controllers in general.
- Do you have videos of your failed runs?
If I had not deleted them, my 1 terabyte driver would be completely full, trust me on that one. Though, I have the video on two of the runs, where one I took one DMG and the other one two DMG. Those are cursed, but I wont delete them just to remind myself of the pain.

I'm hard to impress and now I'm very impressed. The original 1995 game was unfairly considered very hard - I managed 100% just fine as a little girl. I love all the extras put into this version of the game and the added difficulty but I can't manage the boss rush yet. I actually gave you an applause at the end I was that impressed. Well bloody done mate. 👍🏴

Yeah I have no idea why the entire internet thinks rayman 1 is like the hardest game ever. It's normal 90s difficulty. I think people just hear that it's hard and then pass what they heard forward without ever playing the game.

@@beri4138 My partner thinks it's too hard, he says it's got dodgy controls. He's talking crap it's controls perfectly, it's very fair. Rayman was my very first game and I'll treasure ot forever

Even without codes? Damn, you guys were made of adamantium back then. I actually think the original game would already be perfectly fine if things like the knock back and the slow crouch turning were changed. Ah, and if you didn't need to 100% the game to gain the privilege of playing one last level. Then again, it's probably one of the best levels in the game, so there's also that. There's also the continue system, but that was standard for the time. Still, funnily enough, one of the folks I saw online saying the game is very expertly designed, the guy from the Nitro Rad channel, James... also recommends you use an infinite lives code. It does make the game feel less dated and more like one a those modern hard games, like Celeste or even Super Meat Boy.

@@Mike14264 keep trying yeah theres the odd hard bit but it's very reasonable. The last level section and boss is quite cool I suppose and it's cake themed what's not to like. I suppose to some having to collect every cage was a big ask but for me it was satisfying
I think that anyone out there with a ps4 or a ps5 should be able to get their hands on this great gem of a game

I'm guessing you're the kind of guy who has beaten the pantheon of hallownest in hollow knight? For me the problem with the boss rush levels in Rayman Redemption is that (unlike hollow knight) it's too time consuming to practice the individual bosses in order to master their attack patterns, because in order to do so you have play through the level they're in. I love RR, but would never have the patience to do this myself. I hope you're able to apply all the same skills and processes you've used here in other areas of life that make you successful, because this is just insane

Haha, yeah, extremely difficult challenges (both reasonable and non reasonable in terms of difficulty), is something I really enjoy to aim for in my spare time! I am lucky enough to be the type that dont rage at all, so that part does not affect me or stop me. But yeah, I agree with your point and it is fair, having to go through everything to practice again (cough cough, looking at you Mr Dark at the end), can be a pain. I personally just used my failed recordings as a semi practice tool, that was something at least.
I cannot even complete true boss rush. Impressive skill.
Taking no damage on Space mama, Darktoon 3 and both mister dark first and second form ( The last form of mister dark seems easy as hell since it is Shoot 'em up type ) is truly hard, i did read in description that you did take 24+ hours to make it right, specially the Darktoon 3rd, it gives me anxiety with those almost damage. But imagine THERE can be another boss rush, MUCH harder than last one. ( Of course it won't be on rayman redemption but a Mod or Redesign for a exemple ) Fusing with attacks that can be combined & make the design of the arena harder but still the same vibe as the original. It can be harder to everyone to beat the *Unreachable Boss Rush* without taking damage, even for Darktoon 3 and mister dark itself. It would be so hard that even the original creator have to face hate comments, because the mod was literally too "hard" for them to beat it. And it's weird that the some bosses, some enemies, some attacks and health bosses didn't get a re-skin, maybe because it was hard to do or maybe it is in fact, too much time consuming? Hey, I appreciate your comment ^^! It is funny that you say Mr Dark's shoot 'em style is the easiest, because lets be honest, it really is, however, for some reason, that was the spot my runs failed several times, because the last laser attack he did felt so random. It all worked out in the end though, after a bit more practice! I would love for another harder boss rush, that would be a welcoming challenge! Yeah, I did not think to much about it, but it is weird that not all the bosses got a variant color, I dont think that would have been to hard to make, considering most of them already have a variant color? Yeah, I have seen CrystalPixel's run without gloves, and I absolutely loved it! I considered doing a non-glove power run after this run of mine, however, I thought going trough all that again for a little bit of a more challenge would not be worth it, but I am happy too see it is possible and kudos to CrystalPixel! And again, I appreciate your comment, I thoroughly enjoyed reading and replying to it ^^!

Thank you! I did not count, but I am sure it took me 24+ hours and over 100 attempts, attempts that could reach 20-30 min each. There is more information in the description, check it out if you want!

No, it is just a challenge/restriction I set for myself, to do a run without taking any damage, it is the same True Boss Rush mode with same difficulty level, just without taking any damage from start to finish.
I hope I'll be able to complete this. My best is reaching dark rayman. Edit: Did it literally 2 tries later. 1hp mr hard clutch gene.
No idea if you care, but I've managed to beat & record most of bossess with Dark Rayman.

Can't wait to finally see you beating Breakout Minigame without losing any balls. (also if by chance you've read the bullshit I've left at the end of any of those videos - I've just been proved wrong about all that, every boss & level is beatable, I'm now changing descriptions of those vids to add a playthrough of someone thousand times better)
