Ray Valentine - What's My Line?

The panel tries to guess Ray Valentine's occupation on this Feb. 26, 1967 episode - He's a 9 year old flying trapeze artist - and a very nice young man who impresses the panel with his answers. He may be the same Ray Valentine who continued to work in this field during his adult life.

This is my cousin Raymond, a bad-ass flyer who practiced pre-season at my family's farm in NJ! People would stop on the side of the road to watch Ray and Uncle Ray fly.

Can you imagine how proud his parents must have been feeling listening to their son. We all yearn for days like that, where people show great manners and respect, but let me tell you something, you 'will' see those days again at some point, I can promise you that. )

Judging from Ray Valentine photos on the web, I think that this is the same Ray Valentine. He has great manners, as well.

You and me both.... I couldn’t help but notice your interests, my dad and sister sang at nyc opera in the chorus for years by the way, days gone by now.

In fairness to some kids, there are still some of them who exhibit good manners and respect for elders, as well as for their peers. I have witnessed and interacted with such young persons myself. And I always try to be extra friendly and kind when I encounter such well-behaved young persons, so as to encourage a continuance of the good behavior throughout life. After all, it is also important to be a nice and polite adult. And there are also many grown men & women who behave rudely.

Exactly. That is more true then you may think, or maybe you do know. At some point in time, 'we the people' will take over the gov't of the people. That's a prophetic fact.

Four or five times he is addressed as "Master Valentine". (7:45, eg) You don't hear that too often nowadays.

How beautifully Mr. Daly and most of the panel dealt with the child! One can only imagine how poorly the current crop of moronic talking heads that populate the airwaves would have handled it, laugh tracks and all.
