I dug that dude's enthusiasm and yes that made his life for sure.
I don't think anyone kept the spirit of 60s music alive and embodied it more than Ray Manzarek.

I’ll always come back to this video to help soothe my soul, please never delete.
who would have been a better keyboard soul than Ray? RIP Ray we are still listening, I started in 1967. Still trying to break on thru..
impossible not to cry
This has always been my favorite doors song. Ray by himself gave me chills. The lyrics got me, but it really was Ray's vox that got me the first time I heard the song. I've always admired Manzarek's talent.

The solo is sublime
Rest in Peace to a real musician
Jim was the words of The Doors, Ray was the music. Without them both there's no more Doors...now The Doors are part of the eternity. RIP Ray.
Ray was always my favourite member of the band. Such speed, talent, grooviness
Your vibrations are always with us. RIP
Sends shivers down my spine!
what a tragic loss....for us that is....heaven got a really legendary piano player out of the deal....
Gracias por esa melodia señor Ray Manzarek. Un legado al Rock.
Beautifull composition, & Ray was so gifted... All the four of them are/were. No other compositions excite me like their's.
Insane chills. My gosh this song is such a masterpiece.
So much meories in my head to this great song and im only 32..The Doors....Long live music like this
Beautiful melody, I want to learn to play this! Even without Jim voice, so hauntingly beautiful!!
Magic. The song which is the cure for bad mood. RIP Ray.
beautiful stuff, very psychedelic, very moving
Saw him the following winter in the Firehouse arts Center in Pleasanton California, another very small venue. Was incredible!

I've just discovered this song The Crystal Ship and I'm so in love with it, I can't get enough! So great to hear a piano version with none other than the great Ray Manzarek playing! The Doors were amazing. RIP Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek.
What a great musician and such a kind person, rip
Wow...Ray had that meld between jazz and rock down just right...no one like them, ever.

I can’t get enough of that solo. It’s beyond words. Beautiful. This man was once in a million talented . I only wish I could have met him just once
What a great performance. And what a tribute to Jim. Ray will be missed.
I saw the remaining Doors play ten years ago and Ray said something there I will not forget, he warned us that the times now were very much like how the 1950s were and impetus to use the doors of perception so we should be very weary of it. He was so right.

This is just lovely. R.I.P Ray ♥
I can listen to him play all day!
The very heart and soul of Doors music- you experience the entire story, all else is supporting cast. George Winston, a genius in his own right, credits Manzarek for his beginnings.
can't hear this tearless
The world lose a big musical brain and big genius of music...thank Ray for all poemes write from you! :-(
It takes you to a beautiful place. No mean feat in a ugly world
One of my favorite Doors songs, played by my favorite Doors member.
no word in the world to describes this song.........genius
Man imagine how great these songs woulda been if Jim hadn't passed. Listen to how much crystal ship had progressed !! Jazz heaven
What a great man,he will be present forever.
A genius , of a musician!.....
Great preference .rest in piece ray. You lead the way for other keyboardes to follow 🎹
such a perfect marriage: jim's voice and ray's keyboard. this is my favorite song from the doors. thank you.
Simplesmente genial. Um dos melhores músicos da história do rock. Tive a grata oportunidade de vê-lo com Krieger e Ian Astburry. Faz falta, mas muita falta.
It seems life is leaving us behind when you hear and see these amazing artists gone forever.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful
At least we got lot of Ray's and The Doors music in the last ten years, cause he decided to go back to the road with Robbie. Thanks Ray.
I could listen to Ray play this over and over again if he were still here. RIP Ray.
RIP Ray. I will remember
He got me into playing keys ten years ago, changed my life forever.
Before you slip into unconsciousness I'd like to have another kiss Another flashing chance at bliss Another kiss, another kiss The days are bright and filled with pain Enclose me in your gentle rain The time you ran was too insane We'll meet again, we'll meet again Oh tell me where your freedom lies The streets are fields that never die Deliver me from reasons why You'd rather cry, I'd rather fly The crystal ship is being filled A thousand girls, a thousand thrills A million ways to spend your time When we get back, I'll drop a line
Goes to show that age means nothing when you are musically blessed Rip Ray

The best keyboardist ever.He created a unique style, a sound that hypnotised you and made you come back for more. GREAT MUSIC! I will miss you Ray!
People talk about rebirths. When Ray leaved I felt like The Doors redied.
If I had to articulate the level of love and gratitude that I have for my deceased parents and find the perfect way to convey this. Well, you just listened to it.
Far out. How great is this. Just realised again how great a part of The Doors Ray is... He takes the energy in the room and manifests it in keyboard music. Amazing musician and receiver...
This is the first time I heard the keyboards isolated I had to listen twice thanks man fawesome!❤️
When i watch this i think that this is the greatest song ever written in history by anyone. Indescribable beauty.
The days are dark and filled with pain, enclose me in your gentle rain.
the one person that inspired me, RIP ray you and your keyboard skills will forever be remembered.
Well meet again....sad but beautiful
What incredible musicianship!! Just beautiful and very nearly classical in texture.... Thank you Ray - you are so missed - just as my other main man - Stevie Ray (Vaughan) Must be quite a jam going on up in heaven.........
this is one of my favorite songs from Ray Manzarerk
Awesome arrangement of a genius song. Classical in quality.
RIP Ray... your keyboards have been a soundtrack to the lives of so many.
Downright awesome because it sounds like a classical piece. Even though it came from a Rock song Ray Manzarek made it sound beautiful. The Crystal Ship is one of the best love songs of all time.

That is because Ray had classical training which ment he studied Bach so he naturally incorporated it into his arrangements he brought Bach to Rock.
True musical legend, making music again with Jim
I am in awe of this man...He was such a tremendous talent ! I feel so sad that Ray has left us...Thanks Ray for everything you gave.... Miss You....

gdamn would i loved to have been at that gig, i love the small shit
RIP brother, glad I can say I got to see a living legend play live just once X
Awesome. RIP Ray.
Thank you, Ray. No keyboardist has ever captured the ephemeral, the elusive, the indescribable, and made it so visceral and present, the way you did. My years on this planet were enriched by the collage of your fierce and tender explorations on seemingly infinite keys. Thank you again...my deepest respects and condolences to the Manzarek family.
Que Maestro!!!!! Por favor cuanta nostalgia en esas notas, sólo unos pocos pueden capturar esa sensación.
R.i.P Ray.. Grazie per ogni singola nota che ci hai regalato.. Sono state tutte fondamentali...!
I know I told this before here... but almost 10 years of his death, I want to do an "up"... I share a drink with him; he signed my "Other Voices" vinyl and had a conversation about 20-30 mins (I lost the sense of time that day). Join when my 10 nephew were born, that was the most amazing day of my life. I miss you Ray. Life is boring without u :-(
