Nice performance. I like how the arrangements feature the trombones so well, and the vocal chorus is also a nice part of the mix. As a Frank Sinatra tribute performer, I enjoyed this treatment of those songs.

Seit 1965 habe ich Tonträger von Ray Conniff gesammelt (die 1.Platte war "Happy Beat") und auch mit ihm korrespondiert. Inzwischen besitze ich ca. 2/3 seiner Aufnahmen. Leider kam ein Treffen im Jahre 2000 in Los Angeles nicht zustande. Was mich faziniert ist, das Manfred Thoenicke so viel von ihm weiss, das er Ray Conniff fast besser kennt als er selbst. Danke Manfred für den RC Fanclub und die vielen Informationen über sein Leben und die Videos.

Una magistral presentación de Ray Conniff al frente de su Orquesta y Coros trae dos temas clásicos del hoy finado vocalista Frank Sinatra: "The Lady Is a Tramp", y "You Make Me Feel So Young", en un concierto realizado al aire libre en el Parque Ibirapueira de Sao Paulo, el 20 de Septiembre de 1998. A propósito de este último tema, lo escuché por primera vez en el Album editado en América bajo el título "Juventud En Ritmo", pero a mi parecer esta versión en vivo es infinitamente mejor que la grabada en el acetato, y yo la disfruto con verdadero deleite cada vez que la escucho.
