Raw Video: Oakley House Fire
At 4:05 pm on June 23, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of smoke and flames coming from a home on Stratford Drive in the City of Oakley. While responding, crews observed a large column of smoke and upon arrival, observed smoke and flames from the home. Crews make quick access to the second story and knocked down the fire without incident.
Two youths were home at the time with their dog and safely made it out of the home prior to firefighter arrival. CONFIRE also was able to use T92 on a fire after it had a "push in" ceremony last Tuesday. No other information on the cause of the fire was available, the cause is under investigation.

Looked like a relatively easy/quick knockdown. By the way, excellent audio coverage of fireground and radio traffic.

@@urbanff18 Don't waste your time/effort on JB, he is the 2nd biggest phony on YT after "Firefighter Critique". JB was #1 but he has since been knocked down by the latter. Neither have ever spent a single day as actual Firefighters, but they love to hear themselves talk and watch KZread videos so they think they are experts. They are both so embarrassingly ignorant on the subject that it's actually kind of entertaining to read their posts.
A good idea would be to get someone to get the dog out of the area.

Exactly. That dog was so scared! I mean that when you are so many people, you can set aside 1 or 2 to get hold of and take care of the poor thing. You can hear people calling out that the dog has come out, but no one cares much about it. Bad I think. Far too staring at the place, semi-chaos.

Oakley FD don't f around, believe this is the same station near me, always there quick. Great guys.
nice home, glad everyone is okay. to bad fire ruins a pretty home and a sense of security for the owners.
Looks like the fire started in that one room glad they were able to put it out quicky before spreading to more structure hope all is safe in home thanks to firefighters for risking their own lives to saveing lives and putting fires out much love keep up the good work🥰❤👊

We like the FDNY look.
Truckies are probably upset. Engine Company should leave front of the structure for the Truck, but different strokes for different folks (departments), no biggie, fire went out.

Thus your projection speaks volumes about your credibility "the front of the structure is the optimum position for the Truck" -An experienced Firefighter would know that in this example it is not "optimum" -In most cases such as this, spotting at the 45 allows for access to two sides as well as greater reach, lower angles, etc -Experienced Firefighters know your assertion is an internet trope spoken by wannabes... -Just like the "you should have used the deck gun" Boo-Boos "I'm guessing your expertise is in internet trolling" -Ad hominem... They had to ask multiple times to charge the other lines. Got to be frustrating to stand there was a hose with no water.

@richardmeo2503 Se that a lot. Everybody seems to carry those things around. Probably to be ready if they haven't broken any windows out. That always seems to be a requirement. Didn't really seem to slow them down very much. They got it controlled pretty fast. Probably saved some of the house at least. Can't complain about that.
