The saddest part about his death is they focus so much on the sexual nature of his extracurriculars, they never actually investigated his murder properly.

The sexual nature of his extracurricular activities is the reason for his murder. No matter the person wielding the tripod....

80% disrespected from them they f***ed up from 1st few minutes walking in as if it was just like "oh look an apartment let's go check on this guy. " (they didn't sterilized anything around there they contaminated anything and everything and didn't even bother to do a through job they just did it as if they were just walking into a building & then stumbled upon a dead person.) What they should have done was listened to her and then got in all their scrubs and then went on with the packing up all the stuff right then and there without letting everything get contaminated right then and there at the crime scene let the crap get contaminated afterwards

I grew up in Pinnacle peak/ North Scottsdale in the 70s. The Windmill Dinner Theater in the Sundown Plaza was the edge of town. A woman or two trying to get a tape back. He let her (or they) in, they had sex, he went to sleep and she searched for the tape. She found nothing, prob got mad and chocked him out then killed him cuz why not - she's going to jail otherwise. Or he came across them searching, a scuffle ensued and one choked him and the other hit him. John didn't do it. He prob got there late that night after the fact, found the body and ran - hence why he was seen at 4 am and the dna in his rental car. Why admit he was there - it would make him the ONLY person at the murder scene lol Some woman did it. Maybe him being late saved HIS life?

According to "Murder in Scottsdale," available elsewhere on KZread, by the time DNA testing became available, there wasn't enough blood from Carpenter's car left over from previous (non-DNA) testing. What little DNA testing they were able to do showed they couldn't rule out that it was Bob Crane's blood, but they couldn't prove it WAS, either. As for the photo of the alleged scalp tissue specimen found in the car, that's all they had when the case went to trial 14 years after the murder: a photo. No definite information about who took the photo, or where, or when, nobody who remembered even seeing the alleged tissue, and no idea what ever happened to it. Just a photo with no contextual information at all.
