Raw Footage At The Mulsanne - Le Mans 2023

Here is the first of my footage from Le Mans 2023. This video showcases some footage I took at the Mulsanne Straight, which getting to and seeing is very very special and different from any other part of the circuit.
Viewing the Mulsanne Straight is generally prohibited, and off limits for any spectators, for safety reasons. The way I got there was through booking a table at the Restaurant des Hunaudières, which is right alongside the straight due to it being a public road when the race is not held. This did not require any tickets, or entry to the track, just a meal there. I recorded this footage from the upstairs windows in the restaurant. I do not recommend trying to spectate the Mulsanne Straight in a different way than I did, as it is off limits for a reason. It is very dangerous, and if you are caught trying to sneak there (you will get caught) you are almost certainly going to get thrown out of the track.

two Toyotas + Jota 963 Porsche. Later, the blue prototype passing Rexy Porsche is the Cadillac.

The way I got here was through a restaurant, called “Restaurant Des Hunaudieres”, which is directly along the straight. We booked a table for lunch during one of the practice sessions, and the staff there are very kind and let us, along with other visitors, into the upstairs, where you can get the exact view I recorded in this video! The food was also great, and you can find the restaurant with a very quick google search. I would recommend booking in advance though, and having someone who speaks French sort out the reservation for you! You don’t need any sort ticket to watch from here.
