Its his material he can do as he wishes - the real problem is that we are using copyright violating digitized internet media to watch stand-up comedy... that's the problem. Comedians have been re-using their material since Socrates told the philosopher joke. In the real world you'd have to follow him around the world or buy a $500 collection of his material to hear the same joke several times:)
@aksdblaka
10 жыл бұрын
I've seen him live once in the UK (payed entrance fee) and generally take every opportunity to support lesser stand up acts that have amazing potential! What I dislike is when these same comedians cant re-invent themselves or bring new material to the stage which is the case for Hughes.... As for the copyright regulations and violations thats a whole different story and the great irony would be to discuss it on youtube :P

Its called a act or routine every comedian has one
@asparrow9876
5 жыл бұрын
@@johnwick1225 The only sad part is he uses it so often for recorded performances. I wish he kept track of which routine he used for which special and never repeat them again in front of a camera in the audience, which would force him to create and come up with new and better jokes. Not saying he sucks because he does this, but it does get repetitive especially for those who see him as their increasingly favourite comedian, only to find every video to be nearly the same.

When Rob quit Judas Priest and came out it did cause comments at the time. Society, parts of it anyway, has changed considerably since then. When the singer Gaahl of the band Gorgoroth came out more recently, he too was derided by some people. And after he stated that he and his partner at the time we're going to put out a fashion line he got flak to the point he retired from music for awhile. These days I think the majority of people couldn't care less. But in the very recent past homophobia was still the norm.

He's talking about the Death Metal scene
@redneckhippiefreak
7 жыл бұрын
For those that were not around in the 80's I can attempt to explain. Death metal was a completely different form of Heavy metal that was a heavy form of Metal that was a heavy form of Glam rock that in turn was heavier than the Pop Bull Shit like Stevie wonder, Michael Fuckson, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi. The Heavy metal Scene was the Wild west of Music from 1979-1987. Rob halford was Gay but Dee Snider was not, yet to look at them side by side during a concert.. One would expect a guy in silk scarfs, full on Whore layered makeup and rainbow stretch pants to be a little light in the loafers.. but never the Leather wearing, spike laden, biker lookin dude to be Gay. In those days though the MAJORITY of the Death metal scene were pretty much ass beating mosh pitting gay bashers, and had no clue Who was Gay,, Except for Freddie Mercury and Elton John..."But they were Pussies".. Much could be said for the rest of the Metal scene as well..So much so that We may have even liked the other band, But, if seen in the fan garb out of a venue, The participants were at odds. Think Bloods and Crips for the metal scene.."Im wearing Fucking Metallica and you are wearing God damned Twisted sister, Ya fuckin Faggot.." "Fuck your dick suckin Metallica Im wearing Helmet" And its on..... But..if you were wearing a DefLepard shirt in that scene, its 3 against 1. XP. In some scenes of the day you could get your ass beat just for simply having short or long hair.... at the SAME show! It was risky to search out new music back then. You literally had to either dress the part like an undercover cop or learn some concert smarts and wear all black and puch the first fuck to talk shit. XD Ahh good times. But, As we can clearly see, Times have changed. Although not quite Proud of those days, I think we need a little of an infusion from those times. Social evolution has watered down the real Social experience in general. When speaking of Music, Ugg,... Now we go on line research the show, order tickets and sit in a seat barely participating like sheep in a stall. Our music isnt experienced anymore, Its just heard or listened too. . . . In some ways we were in denial of our actions .. In others we were just living.

One of Steve's best ! Fantastic comedy ..... He is a legend .... also makes the audience think as well ...... ie : second hand smoke bit . Big fan 👏👏👏👏👏
Two favourite new quotes from him "And the people don't seem to notice or care" and "They will stare at you until you fucking cry!"

@aksdblaka

@asparrow9876
5 жыл бұрын
@@johnwick1225 The only sad part is he uses it so often for recorded performances. I wish he kept track of which routine he used for which special and never repeat them again in front of a camera in the audience, which would force him to create and come up with new and better jokes. Not saying he sucks because he does this, but it does get repetitive especially for those who see him as their increasingly favourite comedian, only to find every video to be nearly the same.
lol, since when are metalheads homophobic? Rob Halford is gay and no one seemed to mind when he came out. it certainly hasn't tarnished his status as a metal legend. though I'm guessing that was more just said for the rest of the jokes.

@redneckhippiefreak
Still one of my favorites. 😅
As I'm watching this video, there's an ad on the right of my screen saying 'Help make cigarette packs less noticeable. Support plain packaging and protect our children.' I'm sure Steve of all people would love the irony of such an advert appearing next to his video.
