Great Video, how good to hear the engines working hard with NO Background noise at all, and in glorious scenery of Lakeland. Remember back in 1982 going on this with my dear Dad and 4 year old son at the time. Nothings changed they are just the same, WOW (Except me !) They have an amazing turn of speed and acceleration with what looked like a fully laden train to pull !

When I was young we didn't have TV or you tube. Books were scarce. I saw a photo of one of those strange engines with the small boiler and large funnel and cab. That made the R&ER strange and different. It is interesting that this engine is made to be more conventional in appearance.

Phantastic, how they managed to diguise a german locomotive as a british one. ;-) Good job!

I keep thinking it's called William Beck, but it's Whillan, isn't it. They're very pretty things, those Krauss pacifics. There's some very nice ones on the Dresden Parkeisenbahn.

Great video. Whillan Beck looks stunning in the caley blue. Nice to see the small Atlantics making a trip out did they manage the whole line?

Handsome locomotive, she has a very European look to her. Then again, it is a European design
