Now I really want to run home and get out one of my G minor flutes to play along! Thanks for the demo and info, Ricky. Even though I play the Native flute, I hadn't really considered this RAV scale (having gone with a B Celtic, which is also SWEET with the flutes, as you know)...but now I might.
My attention was drawn immediatly to the G Minor Pentatonic, I use it for sound journeys and meditation.
My first Rav was a G minor pentatonic. Love it for meditation. Some progressions have an Asian feel. I recently bought my 2nd which is a B RUS. Truly amazing instruments. Thanks for reviewing this scale. I agree that it needs more exposure
just bought this for my first rav, I can easily say that this video helped me choose what scale I wanted. when I hear this I just fee at peace and well I really need some healing and peace in my life. thanks for helping me take my first step on this journey!

I got a G minor penta, if I get a decent microphone, I'm gonna upload something. Still early in learning though. I bought it more for meditation myself but used to play so much metal in the past that I keep uping the tempo :) Since this rav shares 7(!) Notes with G pygmy I would want C3 or D#3 on it. Would make it more dynamic
This is how I would like to play in future but for now I can afford some small tongue tank only
