Saw this movie as an 18 year old freshman, and have never been able to get it out of my head. This is basically how I feel in certain social settings. We all need to be so openminded etc etc in this lurid 21st century world...so we all eat the worms and tell the "helpful" caring-yet-threatening guides who much we are enjoying ourselves....and then we dash off to our secluded rooms to stare longingly at the light.

I know how that feels. In High School, everyone’s socializing by arguing, having big crowds of friends, dating even though they won’t see each other when High School’s over, and everyone acts immature, rude, loud, and swear a lot. I’m like Roscuro because I don’t fit in, I find the way people treat each other is wrong, and I rather go to my room where I can be myself and truly enjoy the things that actually make me happy.

@@sirorliktheironclad That's a good mindset to have, because one day you'll find the courage to do what is right, and you'll find likeminded people like you and make a friendships that last for life. Mainly because you hold your values as highly.

I might recommend that to him next time he releases a video.

1:27 that small chuckle is so intimidating it's like he enjoys watch the rats eating that garbage.

I made a idea of a bandit city where numerous gangs inhabit. They trade weapons, drugs, loot, vehicles, horses, meat, animal skins and other body parts, live animals, slaves, liquor, drugs, and equipment. They also have fighting pits for slaves, dogs, roosters, and a gladiatorial arena. They also have races

A Little but not as much.

I used to have a pet rat, his name was tank and he was much nicer than these, he loved egg noodles..I was only 8 when this came out, now I'm 20 and in college.. young adulthood stinks

Im now 17 i have a cat pet Its funny to think about it. Because cats eat mics and rats and i think rat as a pet sound realy cool i wish i could have one for pet

Skaven?? Nahhh, this ratmen are very different.

Originally, this movie was going to have original songs, including one that would’ve played in the first few minutes of this scene, but I guess the executives at universal pictures cut them out.

Kaitlyn Winslow what he means is that he will never turn into a mindless obedient rat like all the others. That he has a lot of will and strength to rise above the social norm of what a rat is suppose to be.

How does this get rated G but The Incredibles gets PG?

Roscuro turns evil for a minute because his heart is broken when the princess rejects his apology at first but Roscuro redeems himself when he realizes that harming the princess won’t make him feel better, plus he saves Despereaux from Bottlicelli at the end and the Princess forgives him. I agree he should be on the heroes wiki because I find Roscuro to be a very tragic yet endearing character that I’m glad gets a happy ending. A part of me prefers Roscuro more than Despereaux.

I like that the characters look like they came from a Medieval painting where as the Princess looks like she’s from a Renaissance painting.
