If you notice, Ricks version of time travel is different from the snakes version. Snake time travel creates alternate timelines while Ricks time travel is a clean loop within a single timeline and has no paradoxes.

technically we won't clasify as any type civilisation until we discover we aren't the only ones in the universe, THEN we can determine what kind of civilisation we are based on how more the other world(s) differ from our world

Earth technically isn’t even a type one civilization yet. I find this concept really interesting so I’ve done research on it. Earth is most closely a type .75 civilization Also, If you notice, the time travel box is normally on the shelf in a literal and metaphorical way, the show never did a time travel episode and even called it out as hacky, but in this episode it’s fallen off the shelf in the garage when Rick is fighting snakes.

The future isn’t a singular point in time, so the number of individuals who can travel back through it is basically infinite. This episode was comically terrifying.

The concept of an entire civilization of snakes being able to communicate with a snake from Earth is really interesting. Could you imagine if our first contact with an alien species was a human from another planet?

The obvious conclusion from that would be some form of population exchange having happened in the past. It's like the great explorers discovering America and finding people there. That just means they weren't the first. If first contact is with humans, we'll get some clues about when the separation happened by analyzing their language as well as their DNA.

Rick being there makes Earth a type one civilization with just him living there.😎

Cool thing to mention. If you go back to before they were given the time machine from future them before past them landed you can see future thems car to the right of the building. It's so cool

its not really an episode to watch when you're drunk. Time travel in of itself is already confusing enough, and this episode took confusion to a whole another level with the amount of different time traveling snakes it had and each of the different goals they had. Seeing this episode drunk, your brain might explode XD

Type 1 = use all the energy available on your planet (~10^19 erg/sec iirc) Type 2 = star (~10^33) Type 3 = galaxy (~10^44) Type 4 = multiple galaxies? (I think this was a later extension to the system) Thanks @Ugramosch

Intelligent snake made first contact with another lifeform and attacked in while also killing itself...yeah the only one dumber here was Morty, who thought painting a snake from Earth would work on a snake species able to build spacecraft.

Earth is not yet a type I civilization, it currently rates at Type 0.73 K. Type I would mean harnessing the totality of the energy that reaches Earth from the Sun. Type II would mean harnessing the totality of the energy radiated by our Sun (for example by surrounding totally with solar panels in a megastructure called a Dyson Sphere.) Type III would be on the scale of the entire galaxy. Type IV would be on a universal scale. Type V means a civilization that spans multiple universes, which requires that those exist in the first place. The Citadel of Ricks might qualify as such a government body, as much as Rick would loathe it. In fiction, the Republic in Star Wars or the Federation in Star Trek are around type II. The time lords from Doctor Who would be around type IV or V.

we as humans are estimated to be between 0.72-0.78 on the scale unable to fully utilize all energy resources of earth but capable of interplanetary travel on a relative primitive scale,

"every Rick and every Morty are going to have to..." No, it's a closed time loop. There's only the one Rick and one Morty involved. Rick "reminded himself to commit to Morty's fuck-up" and created a loop in order to minimize their involvement in a time travel issue, but the work still needed to be done- he just offloaded the work to his future self, when it was safer to have to do the work.
