A Lonoke County farmer is "ratooning" or growing a second rice crop on a few hundred acres since he was able to harvest those acres earlier than normal.

If the stubble was flattened you could get 100% yield of main crop. You need to stop apical dominance by bending over the stubble at the ground. Your method gets only 30% of main yield, but by forcing regrowth from the first node you get remarkable regrowth and high yields. Using a light roller over the stubble to just achieve the required flattening. Harvest main crop a few days earlier than normal to ensure vigor for second regrowth. It is important to avoid standing water for first few days until regrowth is seen to prevent ethylene produced -that stimulates regrowth- from being washed away.
I need your help
Interesting. I invite you to review the hashtag #lasocadelnegro #agriculturaconconcienciaecuador a work that is being carried out in Ecuador on regrowth rice
LOL ?
