My maths teacher makes absolutely no sense when explaining ratio so I haven't been able to understand it for like 2 years now. Ratio is in my maths test tomorrow and I was so nervous because I didn't know what to do. This video has basically just made my life 100 times easier, thank you!

For the last problem, the ratio is 4:5, 4 males to 5 females. 4+5=9. 9 total students. The total students is 36, so 9 is not real. 36 divided by 9 is 4. Therefore, 9 times 4 equals 36. To find the total number of females with 36 students, multiply by 4. The answer is 20

How do I convert a ratio in decimal form back to a A:B format? I have a charting program that gives a ratio in whole number and decimals, for example, when I compare two charts and use the ratio formula, it gives me the ratio like 1.80, 2.75, 10.50, 66.67 etc...
