Thanks to everyone who voted on which piece I should play next! I was surprised Up didn't win but it's nice to hear Ratatouille for a change. The soundtrack is beautiful and it's always been one of my favorite Pixar film to date.

Would you mind telling me what VST or piano sound you use? I make videos like these, but I only started recently. I’m not very happy with the sound of my videos as of now.

I use Ableton’s Grand Piano sound and add base and reverb. In my older videos I use Garage band’s grand Piano and again add base. But I listened to your Avatar main theme piece and your sound is not so bad, but you could make it better in garage band. Play with the ambiance, reverb and eq settings to make a sound you like. Garage band is free. Ableton is not. But I would say the main concern with your video would be all the edits in it. The cuts are visible and it cuts into the sound so it’s not giving a feeling of one performance holding itself. If you have to resort to editing to make a complete video, then you need more practice before recording. I get the feeling of being impatient to record, BUT you need to practice more. You need to record the piece in one go. It still takes me 10-20 takes to get the right one without mistakes. It’s annoying but it’s part of the process. Hope this helps!

Also, do you usually do sheets first and then the cover, or do you do the cover just by ear and memory and then make the sheets after?

I do the arrangement by ear, record it and then write the sheets. Its happened that I do a rhythm or something that was not planned when I record so if I already submitted the sheets then there’s an error. So i always write the sheets according to my recording
