That rat at 10:09 showed some nice strategy. Hid behind cover, waited for his mate to get shot, then moved to the next bit of cover while the enemy reloaded. I reckon it was the same rat again that dives to next escape root after the shot at 10:52

@@sharkysharks3473 It's a natural reaction after death. The rat is dead but the nervous system is still firing telling the muscles to move for a short time. Same reason why chickens 'run around with their head cut off'.

Reminds me of 25 years ago being 11 going to my uncles farm I'd bring a 500 round box of Remington 22lr and me and him or I'd bring a friend and we shot almost 300 pigeons off the peak of his barn around 60 or 70 yards from his polebarn it was a blast. But the pigeons didnt fly away they never realized what was going on like shooting fish in a barrel.

What do you do with all of the Dead rats? Do they just decay naturally and smell bad? Or is there something natural there that eats them? Or do the owners have to go around and collect them all and dispose of them?

Is this a bolt action .22? What Ammo if you don’t mind me asking? Edit: I went to your home page and realized you posted a vid to answer this question, apologies. I was using a suppressed Ruger .22 pistol once upon a time, but I was not in an environment like this. Thanks for the vids man.

What happens to the carcasses afterwards? Do you retrieve the dirty rats or leave that up to the owner of the farm? You shoot many of them in tight places, I would imagine it’s tough to find them all. Great vid though! It’s like watching pimple popping ( oh There’s one get it, oh there’s another)
