Very cool Robert! Here in PA, we have a local man, now retired, who restores Stanley Steamers. Those early cars were made of wood. If I recall, frames are Ash and bodies in Poplar. I was fortunate to witness his craftsmanship of restoring these wooden bodies and amazed at the final finish. They were so smooth and grain free, painted you'd swear they were made of metal.

Heck yeah!!! Really Nice!!!!! I try to save a few bags of Sawdust when I'm cutting wood. You can mix sawdust with epoxy and use it for filler. It will be darker than the wood it came from so using a lighter dust will help it blend. When I built my Kayak I removed the screws after the glue cured out and filled the holes with cedar dust mixed with epoxy. It came out an almost burgundy color. but I like it. It looks like I plugged the screws. I think next spring I will remove the bottom and plank it with cedar or maybe cypress. That is the only part that is still the original plywood and has gone soft.
